Yeah. I've seen and heard so much from non-Americans about this election. I'm not sure how to feel about it. Not only on myLot, of course, but already on news, and already in my inbox, with 16 messages from friends I have in the UK, Germany, Pakistan, Canada, Colombia, and other locations. They're all very much gloating, with a "HAHA!" tone, but that's fine.
If the whole of one's desire to see Obama win again was just to rub another's nose in it, then good on 'em. I actually live here and have to live under what comes in the next four years. They don't. But that's another topic.
Congratulations to President Barack Obama. The campaigning for the past four years was incredibly nasty at times and it impeded real progress in my opinion, but now there's no need for habitual visits to talk shows and different campaign stops.
Now we have to see what a 2nd Obama term is going to look like. Like the first? I hope not. That's why many who voted Romney voted Romney; they didn't want to see a repeat. Hopefully it will bring in more of a Clintonesque way of doing things, reaching across the aisle and compromising on issues.
My bet is that we'll be seeing Obama unchained -- a four-year lame duck whose true vision of America is only going to be held up by a Senate filibuster. Save that, he can get his higher taxes and wealth redistribution and bigger subsidies for green energy, etc, without having to worry about stink sticking to him.
Instead of deleting that to revise it, let me just add that the first two years might be tame. 2014's elections are important for an Obama presidency, so he might tread softly and actually give us something simple, like a budget, if it can be spun that Democrats are responsible for the compromise.
But it's very, very early for conjecture.

I can't believe how incredibly angry I am..and I am a very easy going person.. I have to wonder about those who aren't.
- Considering the left's longterm influence/takeover of education and the 'news' media, I'm very proud of the number of folks who can still see past it.. Alot of folks are attributing this win to the large number of people dependent on government.. Not at all healthy for the nation.. I really don't know what to think about the nest four years, or even the next two.. I wish we did not have the liberal press spinning and covering up like they do!! One thing I'm going to be watching for is the move to censor talk radio and social media and networking (again).. If they accomplish that, then it's on to the 2nd amendment.. and then the whole world will go the way of socialism and a world governing, with lots of jihadists weaved throughout.. oh goody. Rev 20:4 sooner than I once thought?

Yeah. The spinning and covering Obama's backside is really disappointing. There are networks and voices out there who won't do it. There are those out there who do just the opposite. But it doesn't take a pollster with a degree from Yale to flip through the channels--as the average American would--and see that the overwhelming majority of media is pro Obama to a fault. 10:1 all day.
That definitely gets under my skin. And not so much that it happens, but rather that people don't really question it. A lot of folks--again, on either side of the aisle--just seem happy enough to hate whom they're told to hate and to root for whom they're told to root for.
To your point about schools: This is an issue that really, seriously, honestly and truly makes me so incredibly mad that I find it hard to speak about.
Our schools are not about our kids when they should ONLY be about our kids! But they're not.
And I defy ANYONE in the entire world to dare walk into the line of fire and attempt to make schools about kids instead of teachers' unions. I dare ya! I'll give someone a crisp, clean Benji and even pay their gas money on top of it if they'll go do it.
As much grief as people give Wall Street and rich Americans for siding with Republicans, Stevie Wonder could see that taxpayer-funded public unions with forced employment are the biggest supporters of Democrats in the country. And the more teachers get paid, the worse off our kids are.
To the "Rev 20:4" -- I'm agnostic and don't know what that means. But I do assume it's a Bible verse: Revelations.

I am really happy that he is reelected and it is being fair to him because he came in at the most chaotic time of times.
There are just so much to be done and with so many to be completed - it is great to see him win and finish what he has started. Amidst of what is being said about him, I believe this is a clear mandate that he must have done a good job and done it correctly or else I don't think the people would have gone with him. I was very surprised that he won in Romney's own backyard and this victory just told me what the end result would be like.
Ya, so congrats to President Barack Obama and his team for a job well done. Let's hope he carries it home and bring back America to her former glory.
