Every new employee after graduation may experience a period of transferring your role, and you maybe buried with a lot of new knowledge.Your supervisor will give your assignment and of course will appoint one of your colleague to be your tutor.
Recently, my supervisor just ask my tutor to give me some tasks in my ability. Firstly, I waited him for a long time to give me some taks. But unfortunatly, it remained silence for a whole week. And I think I can't just sit for tasks anymore. So I went to his office and managed to hunt some work from him for me. And his sentence suddenly made me into embarrasment that no work is preparing for me.
Several times after that i have been used to this kind of negative feedback, which eventually made me leave a bad impression for my supervisor during my work report. It really made me confused and annoied!!

I think i did experience such thing jef. When i just landed on my current employer, i feel like i don't belong, like i'm left behind coz no one is there to lead me what to do.Silently waiting for something. There are many adjustments to be made when you are just starting. And from that, as time goes by you just definitely go with the flow. You will be used to it and you can now make be on your own.

So you have be customed to your envirionment since the past two years. Maybe everyone will go through this initial stage, so i will be postive to be faced with all kinds of challenges.
Are you busy with your work recently, and does your position require many business trips? You are earlier joining the company, and i have a lot questions to ask you in the work..:)

Yes, in time you will just adopt the environment there. So don't worry! :)
Actually my work here is kinda busy, depending on the trips that our company's ship have. We don't require company trips here, and i think it is better this way coz if company trips are required it may not be easy for me since i don't have any experiences in going out of town or somewhere. ahah

I think it will be ok for Jez if the company demands you to have a business trip. You may be faced with the jet leg, if you traveled overseas. But it will not matter so much. Just take it easy.
Sometimes we can regard the business trip as a sightseeing one. We can spare our time for sightseeing when we finish our work during the business trip.
I suggest you to have some trips, no matter it is far away or just in the neibouring cities. Tourism can help us relieve ourselves and get rid of worries. You can also learn a lot and widen your insights, and you will meet a lot of people. It is very interesting.
As for me, I know that lots of my colleagues need business trips Wolfburgs in Germany ( the Volkswagon campus ). Maybe one day i will also have the chance to go to Wolfburg.
And i hope one day i can travel with Jez to some beautiful place. I think it's a nice dream to me..haha..:)

I think that is the most critical period of one's career. Usually people are ecstatic at getting a job and the money that starts flowing in. After a month or so, the money in hand means that people try a lot of things and lose their self discipline and focus and this really brings in the troubles. On the other hand, if at the start, one shows great attitude willing to learn everything that an organization has to offer without prejudice for one's likes and dislikes. One needs to remember that is the Attitude more than the Aptitude that would determine one's Altitude in the organization.
Cheers!

There is no easy transition for a fresh graduate to become familiar with the real world. Sometimes it make take weeks or months that newly graduates to sink in that they are no longer college students.
Sometimes it is even hard for fresh graduates to land a decent job due to the fact that competition raises up because of the tight economy we are experiencing nowadays and in the long run, they will eventually be underemployed or the worse, be unemployed for some months.
Shifting from school life to work life can be very tricky, most especially when you can't get hang from your previous life as a student. The best way to handle this is to accept reality and be positive about it without having any fears of discouragement.
