...take the high road..!

do you believe in dreams? i mean do you feel that this dream has got any thing to do with your life? many believe this way. I really don't know , but some are really experts in explaining any dream. Is that like illusion? I think ,you said you were not allowed to used the stairs ,may be that is in your mind and that got you as a dream as if you were using the stairs.

Just from what you've told me, it sounds like might be trying to accomplish some goal (maybe something to do with your job or health) and you feel like it's really difficult, or that you aren't seeing much progress, but since you made it to the top, it seems to suggest that if you keep pushing, you will eventually succeed. I looked "escalator" up on dreammoods.com and found this: "To dream that you or someone is going up the downside of the escalator implies that you are not confronting your emotions in an effective manner. Perhaps you are afraid of exposing yourself to vulnerabilities. Alternatively, the dream means that you are putting in too much work and effort into something that is not worthwhile. You are wasting your energy on unproductive pursuits." So that is another interpretation. Since it is about your old job, perhaps you are feeling some of the same emotions or going through some of the same things that you went through when you worked at that place. There might be a lesson from that time that you need to remember. In truth, your dream could be telling you anything. It's your dream and you understand your mind more than anybody else. I have a book on dream interpretation. It doesn't give a meaning for the specifics of your dream - going up a staircase only meant for going down. But it does say that dreaming of walking up stairs means you are moving upwards, either socially or spiritually or that it is a positive symbol of achievement and the pursuit of your goals. It foretells good fortune and happiness. Maybe the part of your dream where it was hard getting to the top means all the above except that it won't be easy. It will be hard to achieve your goals, maybe. But sometimes dreams can mean the opposite of what you might think they mean. I use to be very interested in dream meanings. Not so much now. A long time ago I started having dreams that someone was trying to kill me. They were very real and I would wake up scared until I realized it was only a dream. So I think the meaning of those dreams was pretty clear and I stopped reading so much about dream meanings and got interested in other things. Of course, the meanings of my dreams could have been something other than being murdered. But it is a very interesting subject nonetheless.
