Whenever I have a chance to play ping pong, it always gives me pleasure. I love the speed of the game while both players try to outwit one another. I sometimes like to play defense when my opponent smashes the ball and I simply try to continually bring back the ball by either a defensive lob, a simple return or a fast counter attack. When I was in high school, I used to play with the school ping pong players and sometimes beat them, but I never became one of the school representative because I was a consistent representative of chess from our school. How about you, how do you enjoy playing ping pong?

Ping pong is probably our national sports. Many of us like playing it. It is a sports which will not make you feel so tired. Whereas you still need to have the skills to win. It doesn't win by the strength but the skills. It is a very common sports here.

Yes youless, is it true most players in your country use the chopstick grip? I believe Chinese people are very talented in sports, especially those that uses rackets, like ping pong and badminton. I wonder why I don't see so many Chinese professional tennis players.

Oh yeah. I love ping pong or table tennis. I started playing when I was in elementary years. We had a table at home and my mom and I usually play duirng the weekends. When I entered college I competed with my fellow school mates. hehehe Too bad, I needed more practice because I didn't win.

I prefer to call the game table tennis but I hear the term Ping Pong as well in my country. I'm not really great at this sport, but this this is the only sport that requires physical strength I've tried that I really enjoy. I'm not a school representative either, and I only learned this sports when we were required to learn how to play it in my sophomore years in high school. Since then, I learned to love the game. My classmates in high school comprises the majority of the team members who represents my school, it was really an advantage to have the captain ball in the same class as you and to be a close friend at that, because I had more opportunity to be familiar with the game more. In my 4th year in high school, I remember that I almost played the sports everyday after our classes. It's really tiring, but I really really love it, because I think it helps the person to improve his reflexes. Until now I still don't know how to return a smash, or do a decent smash at all. I could only play it occasionally, only when my college celebrates its school sports festival, which is only once a year. I'm the only one in the family who's into table tennis too so it's kind of sad that I couldn't share the happiness I feel with them when I play.

I can imagine a mother and child enjoying some sports together...nice! Yes, table tennis is another term for it and now I wonder which what was it named first, ping pong or table tennis? Similar question to which comes first, the chicken or the egg? :D
