e-cigarette are safe?

I saw a banner at the downtown about e-cigarette compared to common cigarette. Saying e-cigarette is safer or it has low nicotine than common cigarette. It also says that it can make you quit on smoking easily when using e-cigarette. I i don't have much information about the safetyness of this product.

I would say there are safer than a reg. cig. Plus if they were not safe I dont think the us government would allow them to be sold. I have seen them sold there, for a couple of years now.
