Are your bored or taxed of routine activities in your life? To get rid of it, why not try to explore new passions such as going to a fitness center for a year, cook foods that have new taste for you, write a book, go to museums, climb a mountain, visit a place you have never been to, or spend time with a child. There are many things that can break your tedious routine. What are other things that you can suggest about new passions that can get rid of boredom?

I am now a 24/7 stay at home mom. But in my being a full time stay at home person I am more less bored compared to when I am doing the same routine office works while still working and maybe this is because at home you just need to look around to discover a myriad of things to attend to. But when boredom catch up with me sometimes and activities within the house that I usually resort to like reading, computer works and cross stitching won't suffice, I leave home (just for hours) and go somewhere else like in the malls to eat and look around or sit and observe things and people (sometimes while eating)in any quiet place or call a friend and arrange that we meet somewhere to have a little bonding.

that's so nice, you are using your quality time , not every one think like you. many house wives lack these interests after marriage. you are too good.

Thanks prashu. I'm a single parent to my children who are now adults and being left alone at home during daytime I keep myself busy to pass time unnoticed. I think doing things now in my own pace and style after working for years for eight or more hours daily under a boss whose approval of my performance counts are the factors why I enjoy and feel more relaxed doing my daily activities now.

Well, in fact my life, I must say that it is a daily routine. The main problem that makes me feel at ease not even in the family, comes from the fact that I have a good relationship with my brother (on this subject, I have also written several threads).
I still have to say that there have been times when I tried to escape from this "small world", going for a week or two, completely alone in a small village in the hinterland which is about 60 kilometers from my house.
Of course, the countryside, in addition to the fact that I was completely alone, was not the greatest.
However, it has served precisely to change a little the style of my life.
This experience, however, I'll repeat it, as soon as I get the chance.

I completely agree with you. I feel that way about my life right now. I have been working on making different thing. The hard part for me is that we only have one vehicle and my husband has to drive that an hour away to work. So throughout the day my daughter and I are at home trying to find things to do.
