Depending on your self-discipline, this is an effective way to organize your thoughts and present these in a comprehensive and coherent manner. 2. This is a good training ground to express yourself in English, the international and most acceptable medium of communication aside from Chinese and Spanish. Depending on your self-discipline too, you can polish your written English by observing proper grammar and literary style. 3. By communicating with various mylotters of different culture, race, behavior and convictions, you learn to argue and reason out, and make a stand on various issues of interest. 4. There are times, too, that you may need to do a little research on a topic just to participate effectively in a given discussion.

MyLot offers tons of benefits. For me, I feel the biggest benefit is the social aspect of the site. In person, I am pretty shy. Now, some of my friends here on myLot like sishy may laugh to hear that I am shy because here on myLot I am a social butterfly. I am slowly learning to transfer some of that social energy into my offline interactions. I love myLot because there are days when I may be having a challenging day. It may be the bluest of blue days. I can come online, and read something that my friends have posted that makes me laugh. Sishy's posts always tend to make me laugh. Best of all, I have tons of fun! I truly enjoy the time that I spend on myLot. I rarely take a day offline from myLot; although, yesterday offline tasks kept me to busy.
