I know in the USA Black Friday will soon be here and if I remeber correctly from past discussions on mylot that is one of your big days to go out shopping and grab the bargins.
In England we have big sales after Christmas, in fact some start before christmas and even on Boxing Day (the day after christmas which is also a bank holiday in England)
Do you enjoy shopping in the sales?
I don't like shopping in the sales, it is far too busy and you get pushed around far too much. But then I'm not a big fan of shopping anyway, even though I know you can pick up very good items for very little cost.
I also suppose with the internet you can now shop in the sales on line and avoid having to quenue early.
Some sales start at 5am in the morning, so it wouldn't be worth going to bed. you could join the quenue as you come out of the night club!!LOL Now thats a thought isn't it? LOL

Me they always say that women like shopping. I don't really like shopping. I don't mind going out looking to see what they have but I don't get all happy about sales. Yes I do love getting something for a good price but I'm not going out on Black Friday since I have two little ones to take care of and the last two times I've gone out I've been hit once while being pregnant and the other time while try to keep my almost 1 year old safe. Not doing it again with almost 2 year old and a 3 month old staying home might look online at a few things but we can't afford to Christmas shop right now. Have no money.

When I was younger, I had more energy shopping when there are sales. I prided myself in finding the best deals underneath an unruly disorganized pile of things left behind by other buyers. However, as I grew older, I get less and less patience dealing with the rush of people that go when there are sales or the effort of going through unorganized pile of things. One reason maybe because I am more tired now and I am now earning money, compared to when I was a student. So, I sometimes prefer stress-free shopping to crowded sales. However, this is not to say I never go on sales. There are certain occasions like Christmas when I force myself to because, partly, I needed to do some shopping. Or, if I like a product too much or if the discount is really good, I might go. depends really on my mood and motivation.
As for Internet shopping, there are some things I do not buy from the Internet. Example is clothes. I was not blessed with a slim built so I am afraid that the clothes will not fit perfectly somewhere. For others, if it is available on the Internet, then that would be perfect.

Regular sales that go on for a week, yes. One day or 4 hours with mobs, no I don't like those. Black Friday is even dangerous. People have gotten trampled. So I'll stay home where it's safe.

They are starting even earlier this year. Thanksgiving night they are staying open in some places. Now if I hit the doors after a night of clubbing, it might not be a pretty sight..LOL.
It really depends on my mood and if there is something they have on sale that I am looking for. I have really enjoyed doing early morning Back Friday shopping BUT I have also had terrible times with it. I did not go last year but I have tossed the idea around of going this year. We shall see.

I grew up shopping sales with my mother and my grandmother and for that reason, I am a person that really does love sales even today. I am looking forward to Black Friday in a week and a half and I already have my shopping list prepared.
This year might well be a different year for me than the years that I've enjoyed in the past, however. The reason that it might be different is because of the fact that I've invited my daughter (she will be ten in a few weeks) to go shopping with me for the first time.

Hi Anne18, yes you are right. Shopping during the sales definitely is far too busy with loads of people pushing around. However, my husband loves to shop during the season sales. This helps us to save some money buying quality products and goods sometimes. Normally we only go for shopping in the sale if we really have things to buy, as we do not prefer to go to crowded places too. But being able to buy something worth it, still gives us a good return. =) Hehe..

Haha, that would be fun to go after the club. You would be still wide awake and in happy state. I would think it might be fun, except if you dont have time for a shower it might be time for a hat. If its cold that wont be much of an issue. I think that I would prefer to be out in the stores if I had a choice. It seems better to be able to see what you are looking for and handle it. And just the whole charge of the atmosphere. Its fun but most likely I wont be there this year. But last year was fun.

You would have to pay me money to get me out in those sales. The day after Thanksgiving and the day or two after Christmas are crazy. I don't want to be out in the push and shove mess. I don't want to see two people fight over getting the last latest new toy. I'd like to retain some semblance of respect for the rest of humanity. And I might lose it if I go out in those sales.

I've never gone shopping on black friday, I think I would rather stay home and not fight the crowds. I don't enjoy getting up at 4 or 5 in the morning and stand outside waiting for the doors of a store to open so I can fight for something that I might not get.

I do not like the sales that are crowded with other people, and the sort of things I buy are probably not at those sales anyway. I keep an eye out all year long for things that we anticipate needing. If it is an early Christmas present for someone, though, I do not store it, but instead I just give it to them early...sometimes in July.

I love shopping, but not in the sale time. I hate the fully crowded shopping malls when in big sale time. I do too prefer to shop online if I thought shopping offline will be inconvenient for me. Happy shopping .

I'm not big in shopping. But when I do, I'd rather buy things that are on sale. Still, I'm not one who really has to fight the crowds just to buy things on sale. I'd just buy things on sale if I happen to come across them. I'd only buy things I need; I won't buy any thing that I do not need, no matter how cheap they are...

Just a tip instead of going to the sales stay at home use Mylot search,to find items you need cheaper than stores generally, which if you use it often enough will give you a bonus. A win win situation and no crowds plus you only buy what you need.

I do also look for the deals in Tesco's, sometimes there cheapest brands are dearer than the other brands so you have to keep your eyes peeled...... in fact I should be writing my shopping list instead of hanging out on mylot. Its going to be another lazy shopping list week and I shall be doing it before I go to the shop tomorrow as I don't feel like starting it now.

Bit difficult to to your shopping but I do spend a lot of time searching deals even with groceries so that when I do go out I go straight to what I think is the best deal.
I like searching on Amazon then leaving it for a while so when I come back I get a series of very competitive deals waiting for my decision.
