Health Insurance is so frustrating!

I am thankful to have a job that provides me with the option of health insurance even though I don't work a full 40-hour week anymore! A portion of my paycheck gets deducted to cover this expense, and I am free to use it for my prescription medicine, doctor's visits, etc.
In the USA, having health insurance is really important since without it, medicine and doctor's visits range from $100 to thousands! My monthly prescription for a disorder I was diagnosed with 9 years ago costs $155 without insurance (this is for four tiny, generic pills)! A simple doctor's visit costs at least $90--urgent care and emergency room care in the hundreds!
But even with insurance, I have to pay. First, I have to pay the co-pay. For those four pills, this is $30 a month. For a doctor's visit, this is $15. That would be okay if this expense is finished, but after the doctor's visit, I am afraid of the mailbox for the next few weeks. I then receive bills of what the insurance company decided NOT to cover which I will have to pay out of pocket!
I am thankful that I only have a few health problems. I exercise regularly, eat healthy food, maintain a decent weight, don't smoke, etc. I can't imagine if I didn't do these things and had serious health conditions!
I am really hoping that Obamacare will help drive down the cost of healthcare in America. It's simply too much for anyone to afford! Most people I know are afraid of getting sick. The only people I know who go to the doctor regularly are on Medicare or Medicaid.
How does healthcare work for you? Do you have to use insurance?

Obama-care puts a 49% tax on insurance companies on top of making them cover more.. who do you think will see the costs of this? My husband's insurance will be doubling because of this and they have lost their cost of living raises because of how much more the company needs to pay. I wish I could be more hopeful of it helping but as we now need another job in the home to cover the losses I do not see it coming. I am actually scared it will bury us.

Health insurance is a good option. I have heard about another kind of Community health fund where each member of a community contribute to a special fund kept for that purpose. This is not run by a corporate company but the fund would be managed by a person or group of people. Aid is made available for any member who are suffering from a disease. I think this is a good option as you know that you are helping others while you are also benefited.
