I get Monday off

Not something I am happy about as I really desperately need the money right now. But I have Monday during the day off, as it's Rememberance Day. I do have to work in the afternoon like usual. I plan on using this to my advantage, I will go to the next town over to cash my cheques from the Mail In Rebates I got, and put the cash I got froom pet sitting in the bank. I will drop off a few resumes at places in town. I then will go to work at my other job, and apply to a bunch of places there. I haven't heard anything from my seasonal boss after that one day, and I really don't care right now. I;m not sitting around waiting for him and work now. If he is going to snap at me after giving me instruction to do something a certain way.

No, maria, you need some time off or you will get sick. Take time for yourself at least on Sunday.

No, Ricki stays busy working part time jobs. She will work up to 3 or 4 jobs at one time. I admire her work ethic.

I know you need the money, but you also need some rest as well. I know this weekend will be busy for me. Saturday is shopping night and Sunday I am going to my moms. After I get home I will work on homework and then Sunday night I will work on my crafts. I need to get my earrings made so I can sell them online as well as get things ready to decorate the house for Christmas. I am glad that you will have a chance to drop off resumes and put your money in the bank.

I am not sure when my next full day off is. I am working some extra shifts, took some demo jobs and I am going to train to work with another client on alternate weekends. Rest up on Monday, I am sure more hours will come your way. Or earn a lot here on Mylot. I guess my next day off that I know of for sure is Nov. 22 and 23, as it is the American Thanksgiving and I will go out of town and be gone Friday as well. I am not sure about Saturday or Sunday, those may be days I work with my new client.

That's nice you have tomorrow off, I don't get Veterans day off. We only get major holidays off like Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, that's all my job gives us but I work at a hospital so it's expected. Good luck trying to find another job, it's hard out there now a days to find a good decent job. I'm lucky to have a job where I do now I been there for 8 yrs now and if I was to quit I don't know if I would be able to find something that was close to it and I make 10 bucks an hour I make the most out of every one there besides my boss. I hope your able to find something and soon. I wouldn't wait around for someone either because better and bigger opportunities can come to you.

A day off means a chance to do other things. The money may be useful, but free time allows you a chance to pursue other (possibly better paying) opportunities--and it sounds like that is when you intend to do with this bit of free time.

I'm off tomorrow too but I'm happy about it. I get paid days off every federal holiday. That's a bummer that the day will cut into your paycheck. I'm glad you're at least putting the time to good use though. If you keep putting out those applications I'm sure something good will come your way.

Sounds like you really are making the most out of your day Monday. My kids are out of school on Monday because it is Veterans Day here. I need to get out and fill out some applications. I have a job that starts in January, but I need something for right now. I applied for a few seasonal jobs the other day that I am actually over qualified for, but hopefully they won't hold that against me.

hi ricki so unds like a boss from hell or is he another bi polar? I wo rked for a branch manager in the library that one day would be telling us how rotten we were and we would all stay out of her way, but the next day she was sweet and loving and we were the best team she ever had. that was way too hard buI stuck it out til she fired me for being 80. well anyway he sounds hard to work with and snapping at you is not the way to e dear himself to you.Does he realize that he makes it tough to work for him?I wish you the b est and save up for that trailer.

Hopefully you can find something closeby that will give you a little extra money, if nothing else something else seasonal. I know that down here places like Toys R Us re starting to hire for seasonal workers. Down here it goes from seasonal to possibly permanent, but you have to prove yourself, and the place has to really need more people...

You really amaze me, Ricki. You are doing the smart thing and finding work proactively, instead of sitting around and hoping your job will call you. I know, with your determination, you will find more work to keep you busy.
