Can the Toon army overcome Sam Allardyce's stubborn Hammers? Will Andy Carroll return to haunt his former club? Newcastle have not looked very convincing lately but I think they can shade this one.
My prediction is Newcastle 2 West Ham 1
What do you think?

Finally West Ham won the game. It's incredible that West Ham has a higher ranking than Hotspur and Arsenal currently! The big Sam said that West Ham could be in the top 10 of the league and now they are in top 10. And they are even ranked higher than the 2 North London Derby teams.
I think that the performance of West Ham is quite related with 2 key player: Kevin Nolan and Jussi Jääskeläinen, who is my favourtie goalkeeper. He had played for Bolton for more than 10 years and now he's with West Ham. And he had cooperated a lot of years in Bolton with big Sam. You'd see that Kevin Nolan had scored 4 goals. Andy Carroll still need goals but he has some essential tactic usage in the attacking. Jussi Jääskeläinen had made 51 saves, which ranks No.1 in the league currently, while he only lost 11 goals. So in 62 shots on target against West Ham, Jussi saved 51 of them and only lost 11. That's a much better performance than other goalkeepers in the league. Cech saved 34 and lost also 11, Joe Hart saved 20 while lost 10, Friedel saved 24 while lost 16, De Gea saved 23 and lost 10, César saved 31 and lost 11. Schwarzer, who ranked No.2 and saved 40 shots, had lost 19 goals. So in comparison, Jussi is the best goalkeeper so far in this season.
Allardyce is a good coach who used to help Bolton to qualify for the Euro Cup. Jussi performed extremely well under his Bolton. And in these few years Jussi didn't perform so well. Now he found his feeling again. In the match against Newcastle he made 8 saves. That's an incredible data. And if these few key players could perform well, I think that West Ham could keeping getting points from other stronger teams. They might even have a chance to compete for the Euro Cup.

Some interesting stats here. Allardyce does very well off a tight budget even if his playing style is not very cultured. He was in the running for the England job at one time and I think he would give the national team the best chance of winning a major competition. I think the only way to beat Spain,Brazil or Argentina without the talent is to hoof it long and keep it tight -for this Sam's your man!
