It is really tough. A person must be really have patience in dealing with
bipolar. We are all human, we too have our moody times. I have a friend
who married wife that have mood swings and turns dangerous too. The wife
even chased the husband on the street with chopping knife.

I know someone who did unfortunately it ended in a messy divorce, thankfully they did not have children to be harmed just pets.
In saying that I know that they are still friends and see each other pretty regularly.

No that's very dangerous. unless you are trained to handle such case person, then it's okay because what this person needs is someone to understand him/her. But if you dont have any training or knowledge you are putting yourself at risk. But Bipolars are treatable, if the person having it accepts that he/she has. Then there is no problem.
