how do you save your money?i am here for help!

hello wongwai. and welcome to mylot. you could start saving by treating your savings as an expense. how? on your payday, before you spend anything, pay yourself a certain percentage, like 10%. what you'll do with this 10% is to store it somewhere safe. then, since apparently you find it hard to control your spending, you could spend the remaining 90%. over time, the 10% every payday will have accumulated. you'll get the hang of it. and this would help you develop to be financially smarter. but don't take my word for it. it is easier said than done. too am struggling with saving. what with all the expenses and what-not. i always have an excuse for spending a little amount each time.

I would suggest throwing $10 into a jar every month, that way you won't think about it or miss it and you could start saving up money that way if you have something come up you could have some backup money as long as you don't touch the jar when you spend ,oney.

Buying can become an addiction. I have some addictions and have mastered to get hold of some of them. I never go to the super (or shopping) without a list and stick to it. I am addicted to chocolate so I don`t buy any. If someone gives me some as a present, I`ll eat it all without guilt. I have a piggy Bank for coins even though I know it sounds childish. But I manage to save a lot of money that way and I only use it for vacations.

The best thing is to know to buy only the most important things and buy only when necessary. And also you should be thinking of your future. What you should do is to list down the things that you need to buy or pay in a month. Set a budget. All that is left should be placed in a bank.

Since some friends have given you very good ways to save money,such as save 10% to the bank on the payday and make a list of necessary things.What I can advise for you is to find a girl friend! She can be the motivation for your saving money.lol
