there was time, when cinema was big. it looked like there was nothing is greater than cinema. crazy fans. but recently I see great movie starts appearing on tv shows to promote their movies. it looks cheap. I think Cinema has its own grace, do they really need to appear on TV to invite fans to watch their movies?? It appears as though TV is bigger than Cinema and the film industry. famous starts appearing on TV with regular & not so popular TV actors is so FUNNY !! I honestly feel movie actors should maintain a class. what do you guys think ?

Well I guess that's how it really works! Celebrities have to promote their movies on TV in order for the people to be aware and updated. :)

trailers on tv, internet , and posters are fine. but when movie starts appear on daily soaps it looks funny and cheap. honestly I had some respect for them, cinema was a fantasy world. but now every thing started looking so fake, money oriented..

I feel that the way stars present themselves, and the shows they choose, are more important. After all, they are people doing a job that requires they be noticed to be stars, and TV is more viewed. Also, the quality of television shows through the 2000s has become much more in-depth, like reading a good book. Not all of it, but a good number of shows.
I don't feel like it's a step down for actors (even stars) when they are truly portraying the characters and doing justice to a good show... when you don't quite remember that you're watching someone famous.

The world is a changing place. People used to only be able to go to the cinema to watch movies. They even posted news stories along side the movies. Then as years have passed cable has gotten bigger and better. Even the smallest cable packages typically offer close to 100 channels. People have less of a reason to go to the movies. Also instead of spending money on movie tickets many are watching pirated films online.
Since the popularity of television has been on the rise and less people are visiting the cinema actors are put in an awkward position. I agree that movie actors should maintain a certain class. It looks cheap to me when they show up on TV shows however since ticket sales are down they're just doing whatever they can to promote themselves. I think its a shame it has come to this but I guess the cinema is just not what it used to be.
