In my opinion the best version of the hulk was played by Mark Ruffalo...the other guys portrayed him as more of an action guy...but Bruce Banner is a scientist. He just seemed to fit the role better than anyone else. Who do you think was the best hulk?

I think Eric Bana was the better Hulk, but that's only because I really thought that was going to usher in a new Hulk series, like Christian Bale as Batman. I like Michael Keaton as Batman, but after they switched him with Val Kilmer and then George Clooney, I though the revamping of the series of Bale was awesome! I wouldn't want them to change it, especially if Batman ever hooked up with Superman and Spider-Man and other heroes from that series. I guess I just don't like having to get into a new character every time they make a movie. For the latest Hulk movies, we've had Bana, then Norton, and now Ruffalo. Mark Ruffalo is good as Hulk in The Avengers, but it was yet another character I had to get into. With Iron Man, Tony Stark has been Robert Downey, Jr. the whole time. With Captain America, Steve Rodgers was played by the same guy. The same with Thor, Loki, Black Widow, Nick Fury, etc. But, again, they changed Hulk. If they don't keep Hulk the same for the sequel, I won't watch it. I'm tired of them changing it all the time. Actor aside, this role of the Hulk was better than the previous two movies. The electric father monster from Bana's and Hulk X from Norton's were very weak premises in my opinion.

just to let u know..HUlk directed by ANg lee..and acted by BANA..got nothing to do with the avengerz series..its an independent movie way before even IRon man part 1.. only the Hulk with Edward norton is supposed to be the sequel..or prequel to Avengers..it came out after Iron man 1..and at the end credit of Hulk..theres stark talking to the general about creating a SHield Team.. edward norton was stuck with other film contract so that he can not reprise his role as hulk in the Avengers..

Other than Bill Bixby"? well..for this Avengers series..that Mark Ruffalo acted as Banner and Hulk..was originally done by Edward Norton in the HULK of this particular series )iron man,HULK iron man2 ,thor ,captain americaavengers)..looking pretty more serious than the easy going soft speaking Ruffalo in Avengers. i prefer edward norton..because he looks very much like Bill bixby in some angle.. but too bad he cant commit in the Avengers..and Ruffalo have to take his place..but i think it works just fine! the one ..NOT IN THE SAME SERIES..Hulk directed by ANglee..and acted by Eric Bana was lousy..to the max..i hated it so much..when it came out in the cinema.

The movie Bana was in was really bad. But Bana was more believable to me as the Hulk than Edward Norton. Norton seemed very out of place in the role.

I have always love Norton's version. I think he just balanced it well. he does look like someone who is smart, someone who's harmless..and maybe even geeky. And he changed a bit when he became Hulk, exercising.. keeping fit and controlling his heart rate.. But Mark Ruffalo's performance was okay.

I enjoyed the television series myself with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno as the Hulk. It just seemed more natural and they both fit the roles incredibly well. I'm not sure who the original characters were in the first movie, but the television series with these two guys was the best.

Well, I've only seen excerpts from the movies and the Avengers in full, and yeah, I do agree. For me, Mark Ruffalo's is the most authentic one, because for me, Bruce Banner is a scientist first with "a little problem" :D... not a brainless action hero...
