You should have seen Baguio years ago when there were no tall buildings and the air was really scented with the smell of pine trees. The mountains then were no yet the venue of condos and hotels including residential houses. There was no traffic in Session Road or the city market. No ukay-ukay stores were evident decades ago and the tourist spots did not have the establishments selling bric-a-bracs to tourists. Baguio has certainly changed. In an economic sense we can call it progress but it has sacrificed the environment to provide space for this so called progress. Baguio still looks fine to me but I do miss the Baguio I've known in my childhood.

Hi, i am from baguio and i would like to welcome you if you are going here. Actually, to my disappointment, the title you have bestowed about baguio is now becoming obsolete. Baguio does not seem to put much effort in cleaning nowadays when i walk at the streets. But i believe there are still people out there that is making a difference here in baguio to retain the title. But i guarantee you that baguio is the summer capital of the philippines, perhaps the coldest place in Region 1. Well, if you ever come to baguio, just bring blankets, lots of blankets and jackets. Have a great day!

I had an opportunity to stay there for 1 month when I ran away from home with my best friend. I was only 18 that time and she's 19. I must say that was one of the greatest adventure that we had. That was the time when SM Baguio was still on its planning stage. Too bad our parents discovered later on our whereabouts and picked us up. So many things happened since our Baguio trip. I wasn't able to come back after that. :-(
