Well, Black Friday is just a little bit over a week away and I know that most of the major retailers have leaked their ads on the internet and I'm sure that I am not alone with making a list of those bargains that I simply have to buy on Black Friday. So, share with me those things that you are planning on purchasing on Black Friday. For me this year, it is bikes for each of my children and perhaps some clothes for them as well. I've gotten most of their presents already purchased with the Amazon gift cards that I've been able to earn this year. Heck, even the bikes that I'm going to be buying are courtesy of a month of online work and Swagbucks as I made about $%0 online last month and I also redeemed Swagbucks for a 50 dollar Wal-Mart gift card last month as well. I can't wait to hear about the purchases that my friends here on mylot are going to be making next Friday.

Mam you are so senior. if you are analyzing a day as black, it will be surely unprofitable or harmful day. I respect your views. but for me it was lucky because I find a very good friend on that friday.

Actually, this day is traditionally referred to as Black Friday because it is the day that stores will traditionally move into the black for the year (meaning at a profit) as opposed to being in the red (no profit).

That is awesome of you. I keep telling myself, every January, that I am going to save up my online earnings from throughout the year - yeah - ha ha, this definitely has not happened yet. That is sweet though that you saved your Swagbucks money to use on Christmas presents. VERY smart. Good job!

I only wish that I would have been able to save all of the money that I'd earned online this year to use for birthdays and for Christmas, but we've really needed the money for other things so it really hasn't happened for me like that. But, I did use all of my November earnings and I am planning on finishing up with my December earnings. Hopefully next year is going to be a different story for me and I will be able to save more of my online money for my important shopping through the year.

i wish i lived in the US for Black Fridays too. because we live fairly close the US border (about an hour away), i know lots of people that go over for either black Friday or at least for the Saturday but i don't have the money that i would need to spend the day in the US and the money that i would need to buy presents too.

I am learning a little something every day. You see, I knew that your Thanksgiving is in October, but I guess that I always assumed that you all had the same kind of sales that we have on the (typically) 4th Friday in November.

I don't usually shop on Black Friday. I know my former DIL always did and I ususally babysat....last year however I did go. The only thing I bought was a new laptop for myself. By the time I got to the store they had sold out of the ones that were on sale big time....but I upgraded anyway and got one cheap. I love it! I also stopped at JoAnn's and picked up a few bargains....

Yes, you definitely have to be at the store very early if you are looking to get one of the rock bottom bargains that they offer on some of the doorbusters. It is great, however, to hear that you did find a new laptop cheap and you were able to pick up some other bargains as well.

Luckily, most of the Black Friday horror stories that you might hear are things that happen in cities that are much larger than the one that I live in. There (to date) have never been any of those terrible things happen here. I do certainly hope that I do stay safe while I'm shopping and I hope that I can snag the bargains that I'm going after.

Congratulations on being so wellrganised and I do hope that you get every thing that is on your list. We do not have Black Friday but my daughter will be in Tennessee for a few days and is looking for bed linen for me. She is a great shopper. Two years ago she got her wedding dress for a fraction of the price on Black Friday. Good luck

Wow, Tennessee, she is going to be so close to where I am. You know, I'm in Kentucky and could make it to anywhere in Tennessee in a reasonable amount of time. That is great that she is going to be looking for something for you while she is doing her shopping.

I use my Amazon gift cards for unique gifts for my special needs son. I spend a lot of time researching things that might work for him. I also try to find a gift for my husband that is from me.

I've pretty much drained all of the Amazon gift cards that I had for things that I've already gotten for the kids. I honestly don't know what I would do if it wasn't for my Amazon gift cards. I would like to get something for my husband for Christmas, but we might just wait and buy gifts for each other next year after our credit cards are paid off and our taxes come back.

I think that we've all heard those horror stories of things that happen at stores in big cities on Black Friday. Thankfully, that has never been something that has happened in the city that I live in. Now that isn't to say that it will never happen, but it hasn't been something that has happened yet.
