Every, poet, painter, artist give their name to their works. But there is no artist like a mother, who gives birth to a child, but gives father's name to the child.
Is this because the father has got x as well as y and woman has only x chrosome, and mother is the canvas and father is the painter. It is known that the fertility of a child depends on father with its gender.
Is that's why father name is given.
Please share your opinion and comment on this.

Hello my friend! What a wonderful question! I had never thought about that before I like the perspective you took on how a child growing in the womb is a work of art. My first guess is this - that we look at God as a Father (although "he" really has no gender) and therefore since He is ultimately the artist - the creator and drawer of life - we honor Him in naming the child after the Father.

I don't know why we carry our father's name. But I love the concept that the mother is the canvass and the father is the painter and we, as children, are their masterpiece. Since we are a masterpiece, we should take care of ourselves because our parents carefully created us with uniqueness to standout.
