Do designers ever use their own products?

It's hard for me to believe they do because if they did they would make more user-friendly designs. We have this regfidgerator for example. When I want to clean the drawers I have to pluck up courage. Why? Each drawer has trenches everywhere and very small op 'cubes'. Hard to clean and even harder to dry. The top part has a small compartiment with a plastic 'door'. Where you need to open that thing, the plastic makes a curve INSIDE! So you have to put your finger nail or a knife under it to open. Then we have this car. Also many trenches on places that makes you wonder what they are there for in the first place. Also those trenches around the car lights. Did any designer ever think of it how hard it is to clean those? Our vacuum cleaner goes out next month cause I'm fed up with it. It can not even roll over its own cord. And when it falls (and that happens almost by just looking at it already!) you have to switch it off first, yhen open and close the cap before you can use it again. It's all very annoying and time consuming. I bet some of you have similar experiences.

I had a hard time picking a good headset since every product has a very convincing packaging design and specs, but they don't really sound that good. I remember going through almost all of the earphones being sold by a shop just to test if they sound good. Good thing for her, I found one that sounded decent. If not, all her efforts of opening and closing the packages are for nothing.

Yeah ok, but as long things look fancy AND work as they should etc. there's no problem i guess. I mean more the things that are hard to use or clean etc. in a way.
