I don't think so. I'm glad I never heard anybody complaining of me snoring. I know my parents do snore. Luckily, when I'm with them, I don't really get disturbed by their snoring.
Do you snore? Have you ever received a complain from someone who can't sleep because of your loud snoring sounds?

I think they haven't really confirmed that it's sure, but yes it is a potential sign of a heart problem. Snoring is a symptom of obstructive sleep apnea, which means we stop breathing for more than 10 seconds during sleep. When we snore, our nerves and hormones change and our blood pressure increases. That is why it is best to wake the heavy snorers. :)

That's nice to hear. They say our stress level is determined on how we snore. So, if you snore so loud, you probably are very tired. It is because our tongues get relaxed when we sleep, especially when we're lying on our back. That causes snoring sounds. =)

Yes, side-lying position helps. The most ideal position as to what I have learned in school, is the left-side lying position because it is where the heart is. Snoring is due to blockage of airway. have you noticed when someone snores, more than likely they're lying on their backs? They snore because their tongue is resting and blocking the airway. It's not really scary for someone to snore, but when he/she snores so loud, it's best to just move him/her a little to waken her up. For her to change position. :)

Aw, sorry to hear that. Maybe your husband is just tired. Try telling him to sleep in a side-lying position. I'm sure it can help avoid snoring.

LOL. Maybe you would like your wife to wake you up whenever you snore. It helps, you know. When we snore, especially when it's really loud, our blood pressure increases. :P

LOL. Yeah. You are right! I think it actually depends on how deep is your sleep. Some people are light sleepers. They find it so hard to fall asleep and they get awaken easily by as tiny sound they can hear.

I don't think I snore, haha! I used to share a room with my sister and she haven't heard me snore, now that I'm sleeping with hubby I still hear no complaints. Or he's just a deep sleeper, lol! My husband snores sometimes, especially when he's so tired. I don't really mind as long as it isn't so loud that I can no longer sleep or that it rouses me from my sleep.

I don't snore so far according to my family since I am still living with them. But I can get easily disturbed when someone is snoring, I could easily wake up and having a hard time to get back to sleep but when I am really get tire, I really had a deep tight sleep that snoring could not wake me up easily.I used to put on headset and listen to music that could really help me to get back to sleep.

I've only snored once, and as my boyfriend told me, not too loud. Snoring in general really bothers me if it's really loud. I can't even get a good night's sleep when I hear something really loud, let it be music playing or people talking... but snores... I get so crazy...

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well even i have never heard anyone complaining me of snoring. I have heard that snoring is because of some health ailments like diabetes or fats in your body. Even my parents do snore and doctors have advised him to do regular exercises and take less spicy food. I have complained many times my father about his snoring, he snoring is at a very high pitch that it becomes impossible for me to sleep at night, my mother sometimes ignores her sleep while sleeping with him.
What say?

Thanks for more info about snoring. I've got something I learned way back in college. One reason people snore is because of stress or tired. Their tongue is so relaxed that causes them to make such sounds. Have you noticed that people who snore usually lie on their backs? Whenever I hear my parents snore, I have this habit of moving them a little bit like giving them a wake up pat or just anything to wake them up. Just so they can re position. The best position is left side lying, since the heart is on the left. Hope it helps.
