I love to walk through through the woods at this time of the year as the leaves are falling off the trees and as I walk through the woods you can hear the crisp crunch as you step on the leaves and its lovely to kick the leaves with my feet in there wellie boots.
The colours of all different shades of brown are very lovely on the woodland floor and on the trees.
Its lovely if the sun is shining through the trees and shines on the leaves giving them a lovely glow of glittering browns.
Its amazing of how many different shades of brown nature can give us.
When the children were small we used to collect the leaves and make lovely pictures with thme by sticking them onto paper and pining the pictures on the walls of the house.
Do you like to walk through the leaves in the woods when the leaves are falling?

Yes, I love autumn and all the leaves and changing colors. I used to put the prettiest leaves between plastic sheets, then put them in a heavy book to press until they were completely dry. If they're left in the plastic, they keep for quite some time.
Most of the leaves are already fallen here and we've had a couple of snows. We're deeper into winter now than you are, it seems.

Or stand, dumbfounded in awe and wonder
What is this world
so full of care
we have no time
to stand and stare

I like to walk through them but they are a blooming nuisance in the garden. I used to rake them but a friend who is a gardener says to leave them as they will rot down. But the is definitely something quite romantic about a walk through the park or woodland as the colours change and the leaves start to fall.

Autumn always reminds me of my childhood! we used to gather the leaves and then hide underneath them...lovely memories.

I have not done that is a very long time! I hope to do it again someday! where I live must of the trees have dropped their leaves. Yesterday we got our first snow flurries which ended up sticking to things like the grass and cars! I am more of a fall fan then a snow fan!
