Not Posting Pictures on Your Profile

My friend and I have just gone back from a vacation and the place that we visited is quite picturesque. We were able to get a lot of beautiful shots of corals, fishes and lakes. But the funny thing is, we both can't post our pictures on our social network profiles! The thing is, we both did not let anyone know that we would go on vacation. She is hiding her pictures from her boss, I am hiding my pictures from my brothers. We both find it hilarious and on the plane ride back home we were both laughing so hard because these pictures would be on our profile probably by next month. Have you gone somewhere and not told anyone, and in effect you couldn't print your pictures or upload them?

Hello ann25penn, it's alright if you don't have to post it right away. but what really makes it weird is that, why do you have to post your pictures on facebook all the time. I mean my mom posted or wants to always have it posted in facebook right away when ever there is such event pictured. i hope facebook doesn't run out soon because it's gonna be a problem for people who have groups in facebook.

I share the same sentiments! Is it becoming the norm already, or some unwritten rule that whenever we go on vacation or somewhere else we have to post pictures in our social networking sites? I even remember one time, last summer, actually just this June when me, my husband and my sister went to Boracay. Then I only uploaded some shots of the aerial view of the island (we hired a chopper) last month to tag my in-laws who are not Filipinos so they will be able to see the island as per their request. I have this friend who told me why didn't I post my boracay pics sooner? She told me i should have posted it while i was there so its just about right when it happened. I was like, huh? I was in one of the nicest beach in the country and she expects me to go uploading pictures on my Facebook?

I haven't been able to afford a trip like that. Wish I could and just have time to get away from the stress of livin..
Sounds like you all have had a great time.. so what if someone finds out now.. The deed is done and no one can take it back..lol
Great that you did something like that and that you were able to afford to..

I've gone to a 4-day trip to a famous resort here in the country, and my filed leave days weren't approved so I had to hide the pictures of the vacation from my boss and my teammates, who are my friends in Facebook. Hiding the photos were not the problem, it's preventing my friends from tagging me with their pictures of me. Actually, one of my friends already uploaded some pictures while we were on the trip, and didn't notify me. Long story short, I got into trouble.

If I was going to take a vacation or something and not tell people about it, I would still upload the photos if I wanted to. I don't have to tell people everything and if I wanted to take a trip, that would be my business and no one else's. So I would upload the photos and then if people were asking me about it, I'd just tell them the truth.
But I don't see any reason why I would go somewhere and not tell anyone. Lol

It is weird to have pictures but not have them on Facebook! I have several of these!
