choosing between your friend and your family

Although there is a saying that blood is thicker than water, I would say that I will stand on whoever is right.

I will have my brother take responsibility over the mistake he's done. He has to face teh consequences and learn from it. And, I will try my best to help resolve their issues so it won't destroy our friendship. Both of them are important in my life, and if this friend is that close to me, that means he or she is just like a brother or sister to me, too.

as you said, it was the brother who made the mistake, so I should defend my friend. I should way things out, and not being bias by considering only the relationship.

On this matter it really depends on the situation. though your friend and your brother is so closed to you you have to consider what really happens and who did wrong. I know this is really a hard part for you but no matter who you choose you have to let them understand that you are on the good side.

Yes, defend the friend, because it's your brother's mistakes. Defending not to the point that you will be shooing away your brother. He is still your brother after all. Just explain. Brothers or Sister understand each other after talking, they fight all the time, but reconcile after a short while.

I will defend my friend because it's my brothers mistakes and it's not because I defend my friend doesn't mean that I choose a friend over my brother. Just that my brother made mistakes and he need to apologize to my friend. I will choose what is right thing.
