Lately we are getting stressed-up with so many news, like change in natures going on?? Well, there’s more to it.. Talking bout natures..changes to it are mainly due to humans irresponsibility that we are at such stake.
I came across a magazine i read, but couldn't remember what magazine is it...it definitely reminds me deeply about our earth’s water. What do we understand about "water"? Where does "water" originates from? Why is "water" important? Who helps saving "water" in our planet? When do we feel the impact of "water" in our life? How much "water" really mean to us? Questions like these has been lingering in my thoughts for some time now...
Maybe some of us out there know what’s going on, maybe some may not be alert enough, some may still not know what’s going on. I doubt we have more than enough water to use for a lifetime.
The planet that we all are living in called the Earth, contains water for our survival. But the ratio of water on our planet Earth is 97.5% is SALT WATER and 2.5% ONLY is FRESH WATER! 70% are FROZEN IN THE POLAR ICECAPS; while 30% are from SOIL MOISTURE OR LIES IN UNDERGROUND AQUIFERS. DON’T BE TOO HAPPY WITH THE 30% WATER because...ABOUT LESS THAN 1% OF THE WORLD’S FRESH WATER IS READILY ACCESSIBLE FOR HUMAN USE!!!
Earth’s water we use today originates from the creation of planet over 45 billion years ago. According to the data from the 2007 CIA World Fact Book, the earth’s population is increasing by 211,090 people daily. Therefore, earth’s population will definitely be higher and having more and more people daily. "HOW MUCH FRESH WATER DO WE CONSUME GLOBALLY?? AND IS IT GOING TO RUN OUT??"
When we study science in school, we are taught that water makes up 70% of human body. Hence, water is very important to everyone of us. Imagine..we, humans can still live without eating food for few months...but we definitely can’t survive without water even for few days only.
If we are observant enough...water are much used by us in many ways. Water is a symbol of ritual purification, used as an instrument of healing-element for Traditional Chinese Medicine & Ayurvedic philosophies, Arabic & Turkish hammam treatments, worldwide hot springs and many European therapies.
Water is critical for all forms of life, yet while there’s far more water than land on our planet, we may be running out of water. So, let’s care for nature & preserve our water. Take a step, make a move, before it is too late.
What do you say? Appreciate your thoughts on this. Have a nice day!

I agree with you. Water is so essential in our lives. Without water for days, we'll get dehydrated and even die. I prefer having brownouts or no electricity than losing our water supply. I don't use much water on weekdays. Just the water I need to take a bath and for washing my hands when I need to, some liters to drink and a little water to wash a spoon and a box. LOL. Let's conserve water. We're responsible in saving water for our future generation. I hope all of us will discipline ourselves.

Hi angelkarah, we should have more people like you being a responsible person to care for our water supply. Many people neglect the importance of saving water. Without water a day, there are so many things that cannot be done. And surely we will feel so uncomfortable without the presence of water.
For example, during water rationing. At that time, we will have no water, and we need to get our empty pails to stock up water for our daily usage. It is so troublesome and tedious. Yes, may our heart be awaken to realize that we will face shortage of water, especially for the future generation if we do not start to conserve water.

Getting ration every morning is so difficult. I've experienced it. I got up around 7am to fetch some water. We needed to wait because there weremany of us who needed to get water. I moved to another boarding house because of that. I lacked sleep due to that. Yeah, we really have to discipline ourselves to conserve water. Thanks for the reply.

Hi friend, Water is essential to our life. It is really hard to imagine our life without water. In fact, it is impossible to live without water. It is one of the basic needs of a man. We must use it in a good way. Sadly some of us wasting it with or without our knowledge.
Most of us forget to switch off the motor even after the water tank is filled due to our busy schedule, by this ways we are wasting water without our concern. After realizing it, we switch off the motor in a hurry manner. In villages water is available easily, but in metro cities, most of the people are in need to buy the water for money. In fact water cost is very much high in some places like Milk. So we must use it in a good manner and avoid wasting it.
In our day to day life, we are wasting water with or without our concern. The people who is living in the deserts are struggling a lot for water. Even a drop wasted water is worth for lot of people. We must try our maximum to avoid wasting water and save water during the rainy days, it will help us in the summer days. Rain water harvesting is an important thing, each and every person must have a rain water tank in their house to save the precious rain water.
I am not interested in wasting water. Always give importance to it and suggest my friends to avoid wasting even a drop of water. Water is really a precious gift to the man kind. We must use it in a good manner without wasting it.

Hi vidhyaprakash, thank you very much for your valuable sharing. Yes, we should have more nature lovers like you. If everyone on this Earth have similar thoughts like you do, then our world has hope for future generation. It is really true that for those of us living in the city areas have to buy water and water is becoming costly. When i was younger, a glass of water sold in a restaurant only cost few cents, but now count in dollars.
We need more water education to create awareness among people to understand the importance of water in our daily living, and without water a day, how much lost it would be to us. Just to share this with you, but i am not sure how many people knows about Project WET - Worldwide Water Education. This project dedicated itself to the mission of reaching children, parents, teachers and community members of the world with water education. It helps us to understand water, manage water well, and encourage personal responsibility towards water. =)

It is the essential of life. Without it we would not survive or thrive in this world. I try not to waste water, especially when I'm thirsty! I know that taking long showers is wasting water and running a half empty dishwasher is wasting water too. I know that the water we waste cannot be replaced so we need to conserve as much as possible.

Hi gitfiddleplayer, that is true. Without water, we are no where to survive. Simple needs in our daily living needs water. Water is important for our survival and also hygiene. You may prefer long showers, but i love to play water. Water is my favorite because it keeps me clean.
Just by looking at ourselves, how much water we need to use a day? Imagine, what would be the amount of water needed for everyone on earth for a single day? So, if each and everyone of us helps to save a little each day, that would be a drastic change to our Earth. =)

I also read some articles of the topic about water resources fulfiled on earth, that ever deeply had me affected. As you said water resources mainly mean fresh water including 70% frozen water which is limited to use since our tecnology developing slowly and even worse lots of them are pouring out into the ocean everday now as global climates are geting warmer.Compare population on earth and even not account its increasing daily there is short clearly in our using at any rate,so i think we need all people together to pretect water resources and develop them reasonably and fulfil them efficiently.

Hi eagle2lie, yes that is another problem too. Our Earth is facing a lot of contamination from factories and industries whereby much chemicals are leak and channeled to the sea. This causes dreadful water pollution which becomes harmful to human use. Hopefully there are more responsible people handling toxin and chemical waste in order not to affect the many living on this Earth.

Hi writethem, thank you for your response. Yes, drinking water is important to our daily living. Water helps to flush away all toxin in our body and helps to cool our body temperature. Without water, our body gets heaty easily. So, yes you are right...you should start to drink more water. Water is good for you. It is best if you have your water filtered too. =)
