I like to see payment proofs before joining a site...

I never used to care about payments proofs before. But over the last 5 years, so many sites have scammed me. I now want to see payment proof. I dont like the ones that sites post in the own forums. These can be fake. I like to see or hear from friends that they have been paid by a site. To me, that tells me when a site is good. And I can sign up for it.
How about you?

My aunt got me into doing things online.. So for the most part if she hasnt heard of the site; I will not join.. I have been lucky; and havent been scammed out of money; but I have lost a lot of time because of a site not being legit.. So if my aunt doesnt okay the site I will not join; she has so much experince and I trust her..

I have had some people get frustrated with me because I wouldnt just join their site without refering to my aunt, or if she was not avaiable do my own research.. Which can get confusing; every site has good reviews and bad reviews; sometimes it can be hard to weight out the good information from the bad...

good idea... to have family in friends helping you decide which sites to join or not. I use that as well.

Thank you for the nice credit here, thing is I am not always right either. We both have lost time and energy on sites we were hoping would be legit.
Thing is I have learned also from some of your research as well. Just lately haven't been working on new ones.
All in all working with someone/others helps..

for me.. payment proof is one of my first thing looking at the site.. if theres no proof.. i didnt sign up that site if no proof.. but you are right there.. payment proof can easily to fake this day... but you can search the sites review if its good or bad or scammed site... and if you trust your friend theres no doubt to sign up to their site...

I agree- I hate to even sign up for a site right away- when its launched. Unless I know the owner.

I agree with you, Marìa. I will not promote among my friends a site where I have not been paid and I will stop calling a friend a person who tells me he`s been paid a lot if it`s not true. I am doing less sites but they are all paying. That means more money for my work, as I see it.

That's a very smart strategy you have. There are quite a few sites out there that have turned out to be scams for me as well. Payment proofs are okay with me, but I mainly do thorough research on a site before deciding to join now. Normally, I'll ask friends if they've heard of the site, or I'm joining as a referral under them. It's always good to do your homework before joining a site to earn cash.

Knowing that there are some members who are working with a certain site for several years, it would be enough for me.
I would try a site if I see that the offer is good even though I don't see a proof of payment to other members. Although having one is also good.

As today there are many scams online. It is better to see the payment proofs at first so that at least this earning website is reliable. I seldom will join a new earning website unless my friends tell me it is reliable to pay. Otherwise at least I need to see the payment proof.

Recently I haven't been doing much research on programs. When I do, I do more than just opinions of others when I check out a site. I find out how old they are, how much the site is worth. How long the site has actually been up and running. Who owns the site, where are they from, what country? etc. I will do thorough research before just jumping in.. regardless of how old.
I learned, I joined one that was 7 yrs old and 6 months later right when I had earned enough to get payout, it closed. So age doesn't always mean legit..
Do the research..

While I sort of agree with you, are payment proof full proof? I don't think so. I think anyone can fake a payment proof. But more then that, lets take a look at the big picture here. Even if a site pays, even if you were able to see many payment proofs, that does not mean the site will not turn scam. I have seen this happen. It is hard to say if a site will continue. Just take a look at SuperPoints and Beezag. They were around a while and they paid. And they have paid me as well. But they are now gone. So it all comes down to what you feel and what you truly trust.

Well, that makes me feel good. Thank you. Look, even though I gave to MyLot does not mean that one day it might not be around anymore. It does happen. I don't see it going anywhere. But aside from MyLot, which really is a good stable site, there are others that start out with good intentions and wind up failing. It is a gamble.

Absolutely, I want to check those payment proof before signing up, that would mean that the said site is paying and it actual exists. However, I need to check some comments and posts to other blogs if there are negative comments. That would made me suspect and investigate more. I can see that there are a few sites that really pays and lasted beyond 6 months. Good luck to all of us. Thanks

Good post Maria
We have had this converstaion a few times in the past. I agree that payment proofs can be a method of seeing the validity of a site.... However the payment proofs alone can be open to fakery. Payment proofs from close and trusted friends are always better than just payment proofs

If you are referring to proof supplied by either a site or potential referrer, then it would serve very little purpose. Such types of proof could easily be faked and would not be worth the paper that they are proverbially NOT printed on.
If instead you mean a selection of appraisals by several people at an independent forum, then this would be good practice. Of course they would need to be posted by people who you have encountered before, because it is too easy for someone to make many accounts and post numerous wrong appraisals pretending to be from various sources.

Hearing from friends that have been paid is really one of the best assurances whether the site is legitimate. Although payment proofs could help, I've read from forum that they could still be fake ones. There are also sites that pay you once or twice then scam you eventually, losing whatever money you've invested. I guess for me, it's a combination of testimonials from friends, payment proofs, and at least a year of paying its members

hi there mariaperalta,
what you have posted is just a normal reaction of an online worker. since nowadays, a lot of people are doing scam businesses towards their fellow. and if i will be placed in your shoe, i will also asked for a payment proof before signing-up on the site even it is a free sign-up. hence, i don't want to waste my time in joining and giving any information if the site will just make a scam. even the site will just have a small payout, still i would require a proof before joining and be sure that it would not be a waste of time.

In my opinion watching payment proofs is good not only at the time before joining sites but also while being active in a site. I have escaped from making waste of time at some sites, seeing complaints about non payment or delay in payments at forums.

yeah this is good thing because recently some sites are not trusty sites....so if we not seen payment proofs before sign up and after spend so much time when site not responded about cashout then its really heart....so before sign up its good idea to check payment proof..
