So I have a 93 cobra mustang (profile pic ;]) and I love it. 5 speed manual and rear wheel drive. That mixed with a ton of torque equals perfect drift car. So does anyone else have a perfect drift car? And if so what is it and do you actually drift? =]

I love watching cars drifting but I haven't actually tried doing it. Well, my car's a front-wheel drive so it's not suitable for drifting. We have drifting schools though here in my country, and I'm thinking of enrolling just to experience the thrill of it.

Drifting is by far one of the most thrilling things I have ever done. I first got my car when I was 16 and started drifting when i was 17. Now I am hooked. Whenever the roads are a little wet or it's cold out I just have to make time to go out and slide. It's a rush that is for sure! If you do enroll you should definitely post something about it. Just warning you that once you start you can't stop.

I've heard from my friends that it can really be addicting. But I doubt that I won't be able to stop once I learn how to since I really don't have a car that's rear-wheel drive, and I don't think I'd buy one just to drift . I just want to know how it feels, and sort of relive my younger days when I drag race a little.

It is very addicting but I think it is definitely a hobby worth looking into. It's almost like skateboarding. It's something you can add your own style to. It's awesome getting friends to go drifting and seeing how each other have different styles. You learn a lot while drifting too, both about cars and other people. As for the cost, it is not super expensive as most people think. My one friend bought a cheap old 240zx and spent only 1500$ to make it one of the coolest drifters I have ever seen. It just keeps me entertained I guess. When I get bored I drift. If you ever get the chance to drive someone else's rear wheel drive car, I would definitely try to talk them into letting you try it in a wet empty parking lot! No greater feeling as far as I am concerned.
