Is it Christmas tomorrow?

My little girl keeps asking me this question before she goes to sleep. It started when I've put up the Christmas decorations on the first week of November. She is so excited to see goodies in her christmas socks which are already hung on the stairs.
Since she can't tell dates or understand the use of calendars yet, I guess I'll give her a countdown to Christmas starting tomorrow night, so she'd know there are still a lot of days and nights before its Christmas.

That's what happens when you start decorating so early. When my kids were small I used to do the same thing and would spend a month telling them they have to wait! It's good to have a calendar that she can mark off the days on.

Yeah, to add to the countdown idea, I could make it more visual and have a calendar just for her. Funny, we don't have any calendar in the house. We rely so much on our phones.

Well, this could be the best time to let her start practicing the Christmas songs for the Christmas Carolling. I enjoy if children would be singing Christmas songs during this season. Especially those who cannot pronounce the words yet. I really feel the Christmas spirit with their songs.
Merry Christmas!

Well, it would be fine for me if it is Christmas everyday. Have a nice day!

Oh, so cute. I guess she's so excited already. It's good if you will show her the calendar. You should show her the date tomorrow and Christmas. That's one way to introduce the use of calendar. Enjoy the countdown. Advance Merry Christmas to all of you.

That's right, and could also teach her about days, weeks and math.

I remember when I was just like that. I was so excited about Christmas coming that I didn't know what to do with myself. Here's something that you may want to purchase for her. Look online for "Hallmark 2012 North Pole Countdown Ornament". It's an ornament for the tree that acts as a radio from the North Pole. Every day it counts down how many days left til Christmas along with a funny saying. I know it's available on Amazon.com. She'll love it!!!!

That's a cute one. Do you have one like that on your tree?

You put up your Christmas decorations pretty early. Your child's anticipation will be throught the roof once Christmas day is here.

I agree with others...that is from decorating way to early! But get her an Advent calendar...where she opens a door, or panel or something like that...every day from Dec 1 t0 the 24th and then there is TOMORROW.....IN the mean time, maybe just tell her, no we are just getting ready. I miss that part about Christmas...my kids are grown and have kids of their own and with other parents and divorce etc...getting together is really hard and complicated and getting to be so much work, it isn't enjoyable anymore. Enjoy it while you are blessed with it!
