My neice is preparing for a gymnastics competition which will be held the next day after tomorrow. Last time she received a bronze medal for this event. Her coach have mentioned that the routine that they are going to make is a new one and is quite different form the previous one. And they have been just informed last week. And only two weeks of practice for mastery. I'm just hoping that they can make it .

Wow, congrats! It's really good if your niece is that talented at gymnastics! I've always daydreamed about being a gymnast... they are so graceful and aerial. And all those cute clothes. Now, I'm genetically not a tiny little petite girl... well, I'm short, but chubby... so, all about my aspirations :D. But I'm cheering for your niece, and I hope she can excel and learn the new routine quickly!

My daughter is a gymnast. Her coaches will often change her routine up and it's not really an issue. If they have the skills they can change the routine fairly close to a meet and the gymnast will do fine. Often the coach will rearrange skills to try and get a higher score. At least that's how my daughter's coach does it. What level is your niece? My daughter just turned 8 years old and she is a level 7.

Isn't two weeks too short a time to perfect a new routine? I'm not a gymnast nor do I have friends into this sport, but I do have cheerleader friends who practice a routine at least a month just to get it perfect. I guess the coach knows your niece can easily master that new routine.

she is my niece too :) hehe.. actually she been doing that since she was in grade three i guess, and now she is in grade six, so i guess, she already have a mastery of this sport and even her coach attested that. so good luck to her!
