So I happened upon this theory called Timewave Zero Theory. From what I have read so far it seems at least somewhat reasonable and interesting. I am just wondering if anyone has done any research on this theory or if anyone has any other interesting theories of time and the end of time. Even other just physical theories. If anyone does know of any I would love to hear about them!

So, this is a theory created by Terence McKenna that does a few things. It creates a fractal function that was derived from a sequence of the I Ching hexagrams, which are a series of hexagrams that were found throughout China that dated back to a few thousand BC. This measures "novelty" as a function of time. It has predicted events that changes the novelty of the Earth (ex. the start of atomic warfare, the big bang, and basically every historic event that changed the universe or Earth significantly). This function starts with the start of time and interestingly ends on December 21 2012. This suggests that the world and time as we know it will come down to a single point. This basically means that everything that has, had, and will happen, will always happen due to this common single point. I can't go much more in depth because it gets very complicated so I recommend doing some research if you think it sounds interesting. This is a very very brief summary of the theory. I just find it fascinating that basically the ancient Chinese and Mayans both predict the end to be on the same day. I am not promoting any of these as being true I just find stuff like this very interesting in a philosophical sense.

ohh yes, i hard of the Mayan calender and this theory is related to the end of the world on Dec 21 2012 .This actually interesting. Have to see how true is this as the date is approaching.

Hi, The way I see it, their calculations are wrong for I am still here reading this thread or it could be the other way around.
