I will totally increase all employers especially there bonuses if I am the owner or the boss. If they unhealthy, they will still have benefit from. Health is always important for me. I will give a christmas bonus. I am sad that an employer has low salary and I experience that as employer.
How about you guys?

You have very noble intentions but don't forget that you're running a business. You need to make a profit and keep everybody happy (that includes your clients, yourself and your staff). It will be a challenge. First off,you cannot give benefits if you don't have them and can't afford them.if you can afford them then lucky you and your staff.
Treating your staff better is also one good reason why your employee will stick to and for you.But you have set boundaries. Remember, you are in a business to make money but earnign other people
s trust is a definitely bonus.

I wouldn't need a huge salary. I would have enough to live and extra etc. I would love to provide my children with the best. I am a minimalist so this helps in my mind and pocket. I do not enjoy when things are unorganized, so when I have too much money or things, I have to make sure it is used effectively.

Whenever I hire someone to do chores like helping me repair the car, do welding work or "handyman" at some place, I see to it that I pay the boys more than promised if work is done well and not behind schedule. With that, the boys love to work for me and are at hand whenever I need them.

Personally, I feel it should really depend on the employees, and what type of Service they are giving. If I was in charge where I work at now, there would be a lot of things that would have to change. Especially if I had the Power to change some of them financially. Number one would be completely clean and remodel the room we take the calls in. Then I would make a new set of rules to be enforced on cleanliness, performance, etc. and make all employees sign a paper for them to understand what really all the rules and their expectations should be.
I would probably eventually have to let quite a few of them go, and then somehow find employees who know how to provide better customer service as well. But personally I am not sure I would want to run the Business I am working for, and instead in time would like to have my own successful thriving business instead.

Increasing salary does not make an employee good, employer (owner) has to be friendly as well as the administrative attitude, should c-operate in their problem times.
If company is doing well and good should definitely increase the salary of employees as they are teh revenue creator for the company.

If I were a boss I will increase the salary of my employees who perform well. Quantum of increment depends his performance. On top of that annual bonus is also given. The number of months of bonus depends on his performance. An under performed employee will also annual bonus out of compassion. However, he will the lowest bonus. Let the person fill his own annual review chart.

If I were the boss? Well, that is the good thing to do, to consider the wellfare of your employees. After all the employees makes your company run. But increase, bonuses also depends on the companies income, if you are earning then you can give more but if it is loosing or break even it is hard to add more benefits.

Definitely! Unfortunately over the past 5 years of working in my company I still get low salary. Bosses' should be sensitive to their employees needs. What are these needs? Most definitely it's about the salary and the working environment a company should offer.

Although I work for my father but I'm also a self employed, I feel as a boss and employee for my own.
When I sell my products, I calculate how much the cost production for each item, labor cost (yes, I know I work for my own but I calculate it if someday I could not handle the order by myself anymore I'm thinking to hire people to help me finish the order), and last I will calculate the profit. It basically the same if I run a big business and have employees. We need to calculate everything before giving salary increase, of course we want both employee and employers are satisfied and get the earning they deserved. We also need to be realistic in how much we will give bonus, it is all based on company profit, based on productivity and dedication to the company. Bonus will be given according to the employee's performance, it is not fair for the hard worker employee to receive the same bonus as average or lazy worker, so the more the worker give contribution for the company the more bonus they will receive.
About Christmas bonus, it is regulation in here to give bonus for religious day (Christmas bonus for the Christian, Ramadhan bonus for the Muslim). About health, we still get basic salary when we take leave due to healthy but as long as we can provide doctor statement, we still get basic salary and our medical expenses is covered by insurance. Healthy is important and employee should not try to cheat salary by faking sickness.
Employee and employers needs each other and should work together in growing the business or the company. Boss must not treat their workers as working machine and worker also need to understand the company policy and if they want some improvement it's all must be discussed.

Well alot of times the employers make less than a reg. employee. So its not always good to get their money.

NO!
If I was a boss, I would be in business to make money not give it all away. A fair wage would be paid for a fair days work. Any pay rise would only ever be based on increased productivity either by an individual or as a collective.

Of course, no doubt I would increase my employees salary if I'm a boss. I would make sure they have a good insurance, nice bonuses and incentives. But of course I would take into consideration the status of the company as well.
Because, yes I want to be generous, but if the company is not making enough money, I would rather tighter my belt to give my employees a decent pay. And when the company starts earning really well, then I would give a raise. :)

In recent days, there is increase in price of every product even the basic things price is increased except the salary of any employee. It is becoming difficult to live with low salary as no bonuses or hikes. If i am a boss i will definitely give bonus and hikes. Thanks for bringing up this discussion
