eyes wide open

its 1:47 midnight in my country i just woke up and i cant go back to sleep i open my laptop and now i am typing in mylot having milk i wonder if i have insomnia every time i woke up its hard for me to go back to sleep i just need to drink milk then cover my eyes with my pillow then i can sleep again i just dont remember how long i waited to go back to sleep. anyone can share what they doing if they cant sleep?

You may have insomnia, or it could just be that when you wake up in the night you really wake up. Some wake up and go right back to sleep, some don't. When I can't sleep I try to do someting productive or fun, usually that will tire me out and I'll be able to go back to sleep. Usually though I find I get the most "insomniac" like when I need to be up earlier then usual. I think it's because of me having to go to bed earlier too.. My body refuses it. Drink some hot milk, that's good, but also if you can, watch a little t.v., sometimes our minds wander and having it "nonsensical" helps.

yes if only i can do that but my mom is already sleep she have heart problem an i cant do something shes easy to get up every time she heard something i am just having milk now i often do this most of the time well almost everyday drinking milk in the middle of the night

then perhaps read? Something to occupy your mind a bit. Though it could be stress that is causing you to awaken in the middle of the night as well.

i always read but every time i read pocket books or novel when i cant sleep it makes me more confuse i want to finish the book i cant understand why its so hard for me to go back to sleep and sometimes it stressful because when i wake up i get sleepy in the morning its already time to start my work

Its awful when you can't sleep, I always try and read my book and that soon sends me back to sleep. Can you listen to some soft music? sometimes I get up and have a warm drink and walk around to get my body tried and ready for sleep. If I wake and its 5am onwards I just get up as I can't see the point in going back to sleep as I get up at 5.45am. That means I can get a head start on the jobs before everyone gets up.
