Job Creation scheme

As those of you that have known me for some time will know, here at P1ke Towers we like to do things differently. I often hear staff complaining about how much they dislike their jobs. Then I read in the newspaper that unemployed people would love to find work. In the interests of providing both with a satisfactory outcome I have decreed that from Monday any member of staff heard to complain about his or her job is to be dismissed immediately and replaced by one of those unemployed people anxious to work. I am quite sure that both parties will be happy. What is not to like?

Excellent! You will never want for staff--those who complain are fired, replaced by those grateful for a job. As the new staff becomes accustomed to the job they will begin to complain and then be fired. The old staff will gladly return, having tasted the consequences of having no job. Tired of rooting through the rubbish for their dinner, they'll gladly return. Eventually they will be replaced by the formerly disgruntled staff and you will have a revolving staff, all of whom you are familiar with and eventually no training will be necessary as they rotate in and out the door!

You have seen straight through to my master plan. Keep them revolving. Perhaps we ought to start a revolving door division. Fancy a seat on the Board?

I think that is an excellent idea. I find that the people who complain the most about their jobs actually have quite good ones.

Only last week, in fact, I was talking to a colleague who seemed to be complaining that she could not study in the day as I do. I held my tongue but thought she might be grateful to have a full time job which she chose to do.

Funnily enough that has been my experience too.

The unemployed are more anxious to get paid than to work, so you may have a little problem there.

Doh....silly boy. Why did I not think of that. I shall charge the new employees a hire tax that can be used to give other new news a handout immediately.

I agree with Barbara. Jobless people exicted in the begning to get paid. But day after day, year after year it begins to be borning.

ROFLOL! Wow, what a solution! Be sure to drop back in and let us know this decree works out. Legions of the unemployed are, I am sure, waiting with baited breath to learn who will be the first in your organization to create an opportunity for them.

Maria, we may be jesting here, but the UK government have some schemes which are even crazier. And scarily, operational.

I think you always try to satisfy the union leader so that you can make fool the anxious workers.
