How Would You React?

A video of a girl making a scene went viral the other day. A few mylotters also made a discussion about it. I've watched the video and my initial reaction was, what could have happened why the girl in the video did this? what could have triggered her anger? I thought most people would also think as I did but when I checked the comments in the video I was surprised. Most people resorted to insulting the girl in the video, hating her to the nth level. Some celebrities made fun of the video as well. People saw a part of the story in the video but it didn't tell us the whole story. Most people thought that they were serving justice if they humiliate and judge the person as well but all I can see are people who, like her, humiliated someone in public. For the video and story about it refer to this discussion http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2720909.aspx?p=2#2_24092719 How would you react in this kind of videos? Would you be like the rest, making fun, hating and humiliating the girl in the video? Hi, The person who shot the video didn't catch the whole scene so the people who only watched the video don't really know what exactly happened. Maybe the lady guard had done something that provoked the girl to the limit that was why she reacted like that. Although if I will judge base by that part of the video that I've seen I would say, the girl was arrogant and disrespectful. But as I was saying it's only a part of the scene, we don't really know the full story.

Yup she was arrogant and disrespectful I do agree with that but she did not deserve to be bullied by a lot of people who I can say once in their lives had been arrogant and disrespectful as well. Whether or not we know the full story no one should experience that level of embarrassment. If the girl would resort to doing a stupid thing that's the only time people will realize they were too much

I also agree with you, unfortunately not everybody has the same level of understanding, it's pretty obvious that lots of people condemn the girls behavior but what they havn't notice was, they were also doing the same by humiliating the girl.

I didn't see the video but yes, people is so used to be served plates in front of them that they get lazy in using their minds, brains, and heart for anything. it happened all the time. They just see what they are shown and they don't bother to check the reality. So, if one day, I was an outcast caused I was reported as being evil, I believe people would just throw stones at me without even checking if the report is true. I am so afraid of this kind of society. I try to mind my own business. Still, we are not robot. Sometimes we get angry, sometimes we get naughty, sometimes we sin!

The girl overreacted, that was her mistake but her videos going viral is too much. People bashing her online, creating parody videos, etc. are definitely acts of cyberbullying. I've heard somewhere that she closed or shut down all her online accounts due to this, I can't help but feel sorry for her.

It would be great if this video could be forgotten immediately. I hope all the hatred she got wont drive her in doing something stupid with her life.

Actually there are lots of reaction and that video is still viral. I observed people are easy to judge whatever they see something that they thought is wrong. First, what went wrong in that video. The part that on the video is when the student is like nagging to a lady guard, asking her to make apology because she was apprehended by not following the rules inside the premises of LRT. Everyone should be reminded and apprehended actually. What is wrong in that part is that, if the lady guard had offended her, she should complain it to the management abruptly and they could talk in a more private place. But then, that did not happened instead, she made a scene which makes the lady guard to appear pitiful in front of the many passengers at LRT. Because of that, she looks like she is the bad girl in that video. I think she already defended herself in one news station but still no one wants to believe her, instead make fun of her more. Maybe she reacted that way because she was hurt or offended, maybe she forgot that she can complain the guard at LRT management. The wrong in that video is the girl's violent reaction and the word "I am an educated person" was being heard, knowing that what she is doing is not the way an educated person should react. Lesson learned to everyone. Never make a public scene if you do not want to get your video became viral. Everyone has a cellphone, an even a simple cellphone has a video camera, so be aware that everyone is watching each others back. There are lots of people that gets their entertainment with viral videos, and everyone is entitled to their opinion regardless if they going to hurt someone or not.

We all know what she did was wrong and for whatever reason it was still wrong but still I don't think she deserves to be bullied to that extent. I do hope people can forget it as fast as how it became a trend.

I am sorry I have no reaction to any of this, because it is still feeding into the whole situation. No I would not and have not reacted to this. Put yourself in a place where you went off on someone and in the back ground someone was recording you, then put it online.. how would you deal with that? Guess we all better watch our backs no matter where we are.. other wise you might be the talk of the just not the town but the internet world to the nightly news.. there is more to report in the news that something stupid like that.. my opinion... get your own life people

That's right! No one should have made a big deal about this because this things can happen everyday to everyone. It is unfortunate for the girl because she was the one caught in the video. A lot of people who claims to be in the trend and clean hated and insulted her, that for me is the embarrassing part and not really the girl in the video.

I had responded to a certain discussion posted by LetranKnight. Just like what I had said there, I think the girl who shouted was a victim of cyberbullying. You see, there is always two side of the coin in every situation. And we should not judge the persons involved there. I know her reaction was not good, but then again, we shouldn't judge. I've heard that the girl deleted all her accounts in the net. According to the news, the girl was afraid her mother will find out what she did.

I agree with you there and it was indeed disappointing that a lot of us suddenly became self righteous and clean but then they have their reasons as well. In the end we should just stop making a big deal out of it. There were people hurt and there were lessons to learn

Honestly, I really don't care about the video. When I watched it, I just saw a girl who overreacted to what the lady guard said/did. The way I see it, people made fun of her because of the way she exaggerates. I believe that there's an educated way of responding to what the lady guard said/did.

Yes, there is an educated way but its not always that someone can resort to that option. Even the wisest man in the world gets tired and angry too. Do you think it's right for people to make fun of her? Do you think they have every right to do that? It's not really helping anyone. No one can save the lady guard from the humiliation she got from the girl if they insult and hate her online. For me it's just a way of adding fuel to the fire. There are people like you who just watched the video and did not care about it and I can say I would commend you all for not making a big deal out of something that could happen everyday to everyone

The respond/comments given on this video is a good example of how society is. Most people do not care about why a person responds like that. They will never ask what happened before, who made her that angry. They will also never ask themselves if they can be put in such a situation as well, feeling miserable about all the lies told about them and their shown behaviour. The good news is within a few minutes or hours someone else is the victim where everybody is making fun about.

I don't know why people can't see the cycle of their actions or comments. Person A humiliates Person B and there was a video about and then all the others would then humiliate Person A. Most people call this as karma but in reality it isn't.

The Video does not provide complete picture, as what guard said to her. At the same time, girl action were very loud and not acceptable in any circumstances. This is surely not the way to deal with any situation. I heard one line, don't recollect exact words, but the person who is weak, will behave this loud way.

I guess she was in her weakest state when it happened. We still cannot tell by now what was going on in her mind when she was doing that. What we all can do now is to speculate. She was wrong acting that way I would agree but then there were also underlying factors that we do not know that triggered the event.
