Is this Disturbing Thursday?

Has there ever been a particular day you've come on and you see a barrage of discussions that are disturbing in nature? I know that all of us have our own definition of what is considered disturbing to us, but we can all answer that question.
Today it seems to be disturbing Thursday, I know the mylot team is working hard in the background as those of us who are catching these discussions report them, but I still feel like just wow.
Some of you may know to which I refer, some may not but well what do you think?
Any particular day you are doing your mylot duties more then others? Today sure seems to be "protect the innocent" day in mylot.

I try to work through my emails first, and normally I don't get a lot of time to search for discussions (so I usually stick with my friends list). I know some may think talking about their poop is disturbing, I usually dont have an issue with a lot of things unless its real bad, or irritating discussions insulting, or offending other memebers, so on.

I try to put a disclaimer on a discussion that has anything to do with bodily funcitons or I make it clear in the title. These discussions are more intimate in nature that I keep coming across.
I hardly ever use my email to go through discussions.

I go to my email inbox but usually just look at the discussion and go "okay I need to find that on mylot" instead of going through my email directly.
I've come across a few bodily function type discussions in the past and people were all saying "ew" and not even thinking that the person needed help. It's been quite awhile though and I don't remember what excatly it was about.

Right now I'm blissfully unaware. I haven't been on mylot all day, and I'm going through my inbox to answer my friend's discussions first. And so far no one has posted anything disturbing. The only thing disturbing me is one of the shows I just watched. I'm not liking where it is heading. Darn fictional people!

Ah, see I never write letters or tweets or anything, I just yell at the t.v.
Sometimes if it's so embarrassing (like what the character is doing) I turn the channel! lol.I'm weird I know.

The one discussion I was talking about has been deleted it seems but there is still one more out there. You are lucky to not have seen it, it was just horrid. I may be over-dramatizing a little, but it was still horrible.
I'd much rather be irritated at fictional characters then real people. *wishes there was a popcorn emoticon*
So did you yell at the t.v.? I often do if a character I like does something I don't.

I missed the whole thing...nothing new. That being said, yes, sometimes I stumble across someone or more than one that is just going nuts abusing the system. I usually report some of the discussions but there reaches a point where I just contact admin. and tell them to check the person out. They usually get rid of them pretty quickly.

It was on from say about 11 am until I think 11 pm yesterday, but the person was gotten rid of sometimes today.

This person wasn't abusing the system so much as just being disturbing, sickening, maybe even just attention getting.

I think I have come on and found some very thought provoking discussions posted. Not necessarily distrubing. No particular day. I have just come on here so I will have to check around alittle and see what you mean. Hmm. I like to post thought provoking ones. Hope they aren't too disturbing for you.

When I use the word disturbing here on this discussion you can trust I am using it in a very strong way. I mean these discussions should be disturbing to most of the public. Whether it be a cry of help or not.
I find your discussions very thought provoking and informative, I don't believe I've ever found any of yours to be disturbing in any definition of the word.

So what subject matter do you find 'disturbing'?

I can not say that I have as yet had that experience, however, I have noticed in recent weeks there have been discussions were people we reacting to feeling as if they had been singled out after seeing discussions that complained about so many "downer discussions."

There has always been people here who feel "singled out" when we start a discussion like this, but that's not what I am talking about. I am talking about a very disturbing indiviudal who has been hopefully just 'trolling' us... You'll find out what I've seen soon enough, I promise you.

Is this something you should report to myLot? Just how disturbing are we talking about here?

Hi Ambie..
Well as you rightly said, disturbing is a very relative term to me. I am okay with spam being thrown into garbage. But I would actually be interested in responding to discussions that are disturbing in nature if I feel I can contribute to it in anyway. But I wonder which type of discussions are you talking about. By the way today is Friday. So it has been a Happy Weekend Mylotting day for me. By the way add me up in your friend list or are you still suspicious. Anyways have a nice Friday...

Hmm.
I think I did read some part of it I guess. Are you talking about the one with twisting the knickers. Anyways thanks for adding me up. Now I have to find others and convince them to add me up ...Ciao

Hm. Then I didn't come across those. Anyways it is good that the admins are very active here on mylot and also the fellow mylotters behave so responsibly to make mylot a neat and clean place to be in...

Since I have hardly been on at all today, I am not sure which discussions you are speaking of. If some of them originate on the other half of the globe, it may already be Friday there and people are gearing up for the weekend. It may also be that one person starts a disturbing discussion and it gives other disturbed people ideas about disturbing discussions they may also want to start.

GG,
it was only one person in this instance, and I believe they are here in the USA. The discussion to which I was referring seems to be gone but there still is one that is disturbing floating around...

I don't know, I just shake my head at it. Things that shouldn't be discussed in such a site like this, but perhaps they just want the attention bad enough...

hi somecowgirl
definitely, there are some people here in the community who have found ways to get away with their discussions and post anything with nothing of sense or value. though I do agree the MyLot has no blocks systems where a user could block a particular user or his/her discussions from showing up, there are times and people who deserve to be blocked as they and their discussions do kind of rip me apart. Despite the fact that I do not have anyone from those as my friends but still, their discussions keep coming up and as I mentioned, they know the art, their hearlines say nothing much bad about the content either.

Well the person is now gone I've been told and I am glad. Their discussions were very disturbing. Sometimes we have people that come to this site and write discussiosn that are disturbing enough to be disturbing to not just a few, but a lot of the regular mylotters, that is really saying something when that happens.

I was going to say that I had no clue what you were talking about because I just logged in, but then I took a look at the recent discussions and I think one of them popped up on the top.
Um... whoa.
I hope he's just trolling. I can't face the possibility that he's totally serious about that.

Let us hope that he is just trolling, I'd rather that then if it was reality. He's definitely.. disturbing right now at any rate.
