A Qiestion About Proxy

I directly come to the point,,basically people use proxy to hide their identity...I mean I am from India,,,If I use U.S proxy..then clixsense will ask me to enter my security question..This is becausue I registered through indian IP..& may be you don't know clixsense track these things..like your IP address..lots of people do such kind of things because clixsense provide most of the offer & task for the U.S residential's.. Now i come to you..this happened with you because your internet service provider is using proxy..most of the internet providers uses dynamic IP.,,any provider uses static IP..then such kind of problem occurs..So ask your ISP,,it will better help you to resolve this issue,,one more thing i wanna tell you,,please don't try to login clixsense...otherwise because of this problem they can ban you,,,& please don't try to login any GPT sites as well..Thanks

Proxy will works as a medium between you and any sites, so you don't access that site directly. It's done for various purpose, mostly for anonymity. As far as I know, all broadband connection, both stick and cable/DSL, doesn't use proxy . But I might be wrong, let me check that later. You can always check whether you are using proxy or not by using various services on net though

I think proxy change your IP address like in our office since we cater North American clients then our IP addresses appear to be that from United States eventhough we are in Asia.

Proxy is used to change the IP address and for privacy.Some sites like clixsense wont allow you to use proxy.Maybe your ISP is using proxy.
