How do you stay awake longer?

I always hear stories about people who only need 3 to 4 hours of sleep a day. I could accomplish so much if that was possible for me. I wonder if it would compromise me health. I wonder if I would mentally deteriorate. What do you think?

Not getting enough sleep can definitely compromise your health over time. If you want to get more done and function on less sleep for only a few days you can try a few different things. Small amounts of caffeine, eating several small meals through the day to boost energy instead of two or three large ones, getting a little exercise such as a brisk walk... some people say a brief period of meditation does more than a nap.
