FOR ME, its the other way around... I like giving advises to my friends and family.. i like the conversation. expressing your thoughts and hoping that it would give a positive outlook to the other person. but i don't force people to believe with all the things i say.. at the end of the day, it is still them who can choose and decide... :-)

That would be examples adults gave me since I was a kid, I used to observe people a lot and that helped me to not make their mistakes (but I made NEW ONES! lol). I don't believe in advice much, specially coming from those who are not a good example.

Exactly. if i have chosen the wrong choice, then, i'm never scared to accept my own mistakes... if my grandparents are still alive today, i'm sure they'll give me the best advice ever! hehe

So far, the best advice I've heard was from my uncle -- "Never hang out with a gossip teller". If the person tells you of other's flaws, chances are, they're also telling other people about your flaws/mistakes. Everyone has mistakes, it's just that we feel better hearing other's that's why it feels great hearing gossip. It's actually counter-productive if you ask me.

I always take advises from my mum. Mother knows best. She always reminds me the things i used to forget. She is my great adviser. And next is my best friend!

Me too, I am the counterpart of Oprah (feeling Oprah I mean). No one should press her/his thoughts to another, otherwise it will be called harrassment and not advise anymore. LOL. Then there is this statement, "Everything happens for a reason", yes that line has been said maybe for about thrillion times already in different languages and different situations. Though it the best advise that you just can't take, isn't it ironic, don't you think? Easily said and pass on to people, but in reality if something very unfortunate happens even the adviser questions, "why.. what is the reason, how could it happend?"

Agree, isn't it ironic. The best advise that you just can't take. Anyway kidding aside, therealmaryyy. Sometimes, people don't need advise, sometimes they just to vent out feelings and disappointments. Just needed to release pain and agony. They just need listener. and You are right no forces necessary. If you don't like then don't. LOL. You know what I like to say most of the time, but I dont like to hear. "Everything happens for a reason." It is a great soother statement, but really realistically speaking, if something unacceptable event happened, you will wonder why... what's the reason.
