Anti facebook center...join it

There's an adage saying to never blame the tool, but the one using that tool. I think this holds true to Facebook. I mean, the concept of it is great. It really is one convenient and easy way to interact with friends from almost anywhere on earth. It could help businesses, people could learn and stuff. But if a person lacks discipline and/or abuses this, then there lies the problem. I mean, we just can't stop something because people are undisciplined in the use of it. Like in the case of car accidents, we don't stop producing cars because dumb people drive them. Personally, I think proper parental guidance is needed. A little help from the local government also. Where I'm from, big internet cafes prohibit students from using their cafes during school hours.

Same here , a lot of people spend all day here and some never leave the house . Facebook is not the fault , its parents , peers and the world that influence most of what we do . Every where want you to have a facebook account , even some jobs . Facebook is one means of communicating with friends , family , interest and business . We all will have something that take up our time . Facebook is just a site its what we do with it is our problem . We can always leave facebook , when we have enough .

Thanks for the Heads up dude!! Your message shows how people addicted to Facebook. However most of the people getting closer with Facebook and specially younger people over addicted with this as Facebook designed such way that they can share each and every moment of life with friends and family.. They should realize but we may no need to hesitate Facebook as we can utilize the site within the limits.

facebook is a big problem here in Mexico. Kids are more there than on school work here. I think facebook needs to find a way to check ages better.

We can not solve it. It's already these people perspective. I use facebook to communicate with friends and family from all over the world. I use it to store pictures because of what we have experienced after the typhoon all photographs were put into mud and water. And we can put it back anymore, all memories will just be in the mind and heart. The parents should be the one limiting their children, not just to facebook but to the excessive access of the internet. It is not just facebook that is addicting, even the RPG games too. they are addicting and really make the youth to spend more time in the computer than family interactions. Parents are the one responsible for limiting their children to do so. If you are a parent you can help to solve this problem by giving your children a limited access to the net.

there is not any solution for this before facebook all were used orkut and try to connect their loving ones but it should be restricted for not mature person..i think internet is not for immature person because some bad things on this always attract them and create situation to ruin his/her life....

The addiction to the internet has been a problem for quite a few years, although I do realise that it's grip is increasing. As for Facebook, I understand exactly what you mean but do not consider it to be my place to interfere. If someone chooses to spend their waking hours on Facebook then it is completely their choice. I did try Facebook a while ago, but I cancelled the membership within a few weeks, it is certainly not the place for me. Nevertheless, I do not want anyone to tell me how to spend my leisure time, so I will not presume to have the right to tell someone else.

Leave facebook. Problem solved! lol I left facebook several months ago. It's kind of a pain to see how many sites these days want you to "log in with facebook" and how many groups want you to "like us on facebook" to win some contest or get some dumb prize. I'm sick of it. I've said it a few times on these boards, but I'll keep saying it cause I know it's true, but I believe I lost more friends because of facebook than I gained or maintained contact with. I was just sick of it, and I don't miss it.

If people do not like face book, then they can always delete their accounts. I know that there is a lot of people on there that bully other people as well as bad mouth them, thats why I tend not to now bother with it much. I have also noticed that there are people on it that tend to be on it all of the time and these are not just young people these are older people, seems like they have nothing better to do with their time other than to be on there.

I am not into with Facebook and I have notice that too nowadays too many youngsters are now inclined with social networking. I don't have Facebook and I have no plans of making one,mylot is enough for me and I am satisfied and happy here. If I am a parent I would have my Internet restriction to my kids like there are only few site that they can browse.

definitely facebook has now been the problem for youths..this is because when somebody get into it,,he/she got addicted,,,this is a major issue,,,i have seen some guys,,got irritate,,if somebody try to stop them to use facebook,,i want to add one thing,,mobile phone is also not good for health,,& facebook is forcing you to use your mobile phone each & every time,,this is also a big issue,,but overall i accept it's you who have to decide,, whether you want to use facebook or not,,

Facebook is a big problem here in Mexico. he in my cafe kids come and rent pc time. All they do is chat on facebook. I know they have homework and others things to do. It once bothered me.. but if I dont rent to them, they will just go down the street to rent a pc.

well though i know facebook affect a lot of people and mostly the young generation but we cannot denied it because it had already a part of the life now. maybe facebook minimize every user log in or everyone just have one account or so on.. maybe these can help a little bit but cannot really fix the problem. i do not use facebook regularly but i will only log in to check my groups post to get latest information. this help me a lot so through this i think facebook still can available but maybe add on something to prevent facebook use in wrong way.

You know Due our Younger Act ivies Facbook making billion ,or trillions dollars every month ... We wast our time in Facbook. But facebook make money by your time. SO dont' wast your time in facebook. what is that . A boy looking for a girl Friend, And Girl Friend looking for boy friend on the facebook. But you know always there on Facebook. you cannot read faces of boys and girls, because a man (boy) may be chat with you as a girl, And girl may chat with you becoming a boy... so what u earn from facebook ?????? just time and nothing. I don't say that you don't use facebook. it's a way to communicate with your friends and family. but use it as needed not always wast time for facebook.

I have deactivated my Facebook account several times to come out of addiction. However, I use Facebook to earn money now not for chatting or playing games. It has become one of my source to earn money. So I can't leave it :)
