I would like to know if there is a such thing as free software training ad or dowloads. Such as Micrsoft Word, Excell, Quicken Books ,Powerpoint, etc..

You can usually find decent tutorials on the home page of the company that creates the software. For example, Microsoft will provide quite a few basic tutorials on Word, Excel or Powerpoint in order to get you started using the software.
There are also many fre lance tutorials written, many available for download as pdf files, which can found by searching via a search engine.

If you are talking away from online sources, then there are free computer training for basic computer education in some local training and skill center you can find in your localities, skill programs.
There are also Government, and Non-Government organizations that caters free education to people who wants to acquire knowledge on such subject.
If you want online programs, well yes there are free tutoring sites that you might want to try it out, if you don’t want such programs, you can deal with Tutorial videos over sharing sites such as YouTube where they have channels over the site that has educational content in it.
