Hello mothers! I really want my three year old son to eat something nutritious. I have been preparing mostly for him go and grow foods however I'm having a hard time for him to eat vegetables as fresh as they are or even cooked. I would like to ask if you have any suggestion on how to cook or prepare the vegetables for a toddler? and what are these vegetables good for a toddler to eat? Thanks in advance. :-)

You know what, that's really a common problem for mothers. I can not really give you an advice on that, but Im responding to let you know you are not alone. I also have a hard time training my kid to eat vegetables, because I'm also not fond of it. Our meals are mostly meat and just a little carrots and potatoes. I'm looking forward to getting some tips from other mothers or lotters who'd respond to this.

Yes, hoping that we can encourage our children to eat vegetables. Anyway, what I do now, is that I give him fruits such as orange, apples, bananas, and mangoes. I hope this work to yor children too. God Bless

I'm a dad but I usually prepare my son's meals, and it is really a challenge to make them eat veggies. They seem to have a very discriminating taste. Steaming veggies is by far the most nutritious way to cook them since it retains most of its nutrients but then the taste could be so bland that your kid might not like it. My son likes some of our local stew dishes and I make sure to put in the veggies to get rid of the bland taste of them. But I think one good piece of advice is for all of you to eat the same dish as what your son is eating - no exceptions. And show him how yummy the food is. This sort of worked for us

I still remember how difficult it was to feed my son the vegetable when he was a little child. It seems that most children don't like eating vegetables. Sometimes I would hide the vegetables and then feed him. Or you have to make it in little pieces so that you can mix other food with it. Or you have to try to cook something delicious. Such as at that time I made mashed potato and my son loved it. Try to make the food much more interesting so that it will be attractive for your child. Later I bought a picture book and it was about the healthy diet. And it mentioned that you had to eat everything so that you would be healthy. I was glad that finally this book worked for my son. He was still reasonable

fresh and green - Green tomato juice, anyone!
If the toddler does not want to eat veggies then juice up the veggies and add the juice to fresh fruit juices. For example carrot and apple or mangoes make a very delicious and refreshing combination. Cucumber with lemon and honey too. And lately I discovered green tomatoes and honey juice and my little ones love them.

I usually gave my kids boiled potatoes and carrots with beef and maybe corn. Those are not that hard to feed them with. Then as they grew older, I introduced them to other vegetables such as green leafy vegetables.

This is quite a situation that all parents faced. The babies seem to not like eating vegetables. However, we do know that vegetables is possibly the second most nutritious food beside milk and cereal. My suggestion is to cut the vegetables into very small size and steam it. After that, put the vegetables preferably soft leaves into the cereal. When the babies eat cereal, they will eat the vegetables too and they won't notice the present of vegetables because the taste will be overwhelmed by cereal and milk.

Once upon a time when my kid were six month old, a doctor has prescribed me to feed my baby"KHICHURI" components of which are rice, palse, vegetables, a little bit more oil. Doctor said this preparation can give proper nutrition and energy enough to help a toddler grow up.
