Are you going to write more articles for Expertscolumn?

Hi Bostonphil, no site will meet all your requirements. I do not like some aspects of Expertscolumn too. But it is good enough, since the owner pays promptly, and the moderators take care of the site well. I think it is good to try different sites, so that you have income from different sites too. Online writing has changed over the years. It used to be upfront payment, but now the focus is on long term passive income. Those sites that used to pay high upfront no longer existed. A few years ago when I started writing, people were talking about writing for Today. Later on, the owner of Today made millions by selling the domain to Today, the TV show.

I looked into Expertscolumn. I liked what I saw and read. I am not ready to join yet but I am going to continue to think about it. Actually, I have been thinking about it for some time.

I am sticking with two sites for now and am trying to build up my content on both. However, both sites have things about them that I do not like and I am always looking for another site that meets all my needs. I am not expecting perfection but I am looking for improvement. I may just look into Expertscolum.

Hi Canellita, how are you getting on? For you, I will not advise you to join Expertscolumn. This place does not pay upfront. You are better off writing for Helium, and Yahoo Voice, where you have a chance to get upfront plus passive income. This Expertscolumn is mainly for writers who are not US taxpayer.

Hi Canellita, there is no need to find another income. A better way is to increase the current income so that you have more money to spend or save. What is the point of hunting for unknown site and start all over again when the site that pays you the most is still around? Too bad about us international writers, since there is hardly a site that pays upfront any more.

I'm getting on okay, how about you? Too bad that Expertscolumn doesn't pay upfronts; it would be nice to find another source of income, but for now I'll have to stick to what I have going on already.

Hi UmiNoor, you will see the effect of double earning even if you do not submit new articles. Your existing articles will produce earning, and since it is double earning, you will reach payout much sooner. I am glad that the earnings there are consistent. Just hope that we can make much more money, and enjoy doing so.

Hi hereandthere, I find that I need to keep refreshing and loading the site a few times to get it to work at times. Most of the times, it is ok. Even if you cannot get through in the daytime, you can use the time to write, and upload when you can do so. We just need probably five minutes to upload a few articles, but we need hours to write the content in the first place.

is this a yearly offering? i think this will encourage other members to finally sign up and submit, or if they already have an account, to write more and promote them. i just hope there won't be any technical problems and i hope they have enough people to go over the submissions.

Hi Tedifa, hope you can get the admin to sort out your issue. I think there are certain information for you to complete before you can be accepted as a writer. You may like to check your email spam box, and see if you have missed out an email from Expertscolumn. Otherwise, get in touch with Admin, and sort this out. Expertscolumn definitely pays better than Shvoong. Shvoong only shares 10% of revenue with writers, but Expertscolumn shares about half of it.

Hi Prospectboy, too bad you have only one article there. If only you have kept up with your effort, your earnings will really increase with the double earning bonus. If your article gets you just one cent per week, double earning means two cents per week. Not really a lot of money. Hope you can catch up, and make use of this opportunity to reach payout sooner.

Hi scheng1. What I meant was that I recently wrote my first article in a few months on there. I think I have like 35 articles written in total, I just hadn't written in awhile before this week. I apologize for my wording. I've reached payout on there three times before, and hopefully I'll get that fourth one soon. Thanks.

Hi Prospectboy, in this case, you will definitely gain from publishing more articles. I think it is better to request payout at a higher amount. Paypal fee eats away a portion of the earnings. I usually request for payout when I have $20 or more in the earnings. Just hope that the owner can upgrade his account, so that Paypal does not take away part of our earnings anymore. It is rather painful.

Hi Salonga, yes, it has motivated me to write more as well. I just hope that I will have more time to write. Just too bad that the full time employment takes up most of my free time, and I am usually too tired to do much writing at night. I only have one or two hours at night to check email, do some reading and then I have to prepare for bed.

Hi Abhi, you might as well focus on Expertscolumn for the time being. This double bonus scheme lasts till the end of the year. If you miss out the chance to write more and get more page views, you might have to wait for another year to get such good rate. The owner might not even have such bonus payment for us. I have written a few articles, but these are not really earning much yet. i am still relying on old articles to get me more earnings.

Hi 1hopefulman, if you cannot access the site, just refresh a few more times. It usually works. I think sometimes when traffic surges suddenly, the server cannot cope. I have not a single problem in the past few days. I guess it is due to time difference, and the fact that the Indians are celebrating an important festival.

Hi Gretchen, if you are new there, you probably will not notice the effect of double earning bonus. After, double one cent is just two cents. This bonus scheme will definitely encourage existing writers. For me, the monthly earning is about twenty to thirty dollars. Double earning means to get another twenty to thirty dollars without extra work. I think I will get much more if I can get myself to work really hard.

Hi Kane, you can learn more about using seo techniques in writing, and getting more links. There is no quick way to get traffic. You just have to work hard, and wait for traffic to come. Sometimes an article posted years ago can gain 1000 views over the past few years.

I think you can work hard to improve your English, so that you can write articles and earn from there. It is good of you to find Mylot, and earn here. Hi Aries, the requirement for Expertscolumn is just 300 words. That is lower than the minimum word count for other sites. I think you should just let go of whatever ideas about making money, and just write what you feel like writing. It is better to write about your opinion about weather, bosses, kids, and other things in life, than not to write at all. At least you get to feel the satisfaction of writing, and have income from those articles.
