Are your LaundryShop staff honest?

For those who are using laundryshop services, do you trust them fully?
Before I give my bags of clothes and textiles, I always tally what's in it, and when they return it back, I have to count them again.
I think its just practical to do this, because, with more than 40 kilos of clothing materials with them, you'll never know when 1 or 2 pieces are taken from the stack. And, remember that these are investments and 1 piece lost is already at least a hundred pesos worth.
So, how do you make sure that you get back all your clothes?

I think it is just but logical that one should take note of what she will be submitting to the laundrywoman. We always have to be assured and the most practical way is making a list of them and tally them, when they are back .
It's good that we have a weekly laundrywoman who comes to the house to do the laundry. She is proven honest, because she always gives back the bills she would fin in the pockets of our clothes.

Oh, that's good. I would really appreciate people who are honest and truthful. If that happened to me, I would give her the money, or part of it as a reward, unless I really need the money for something.

We just give her a bonus before Christmas, my friend.
Besides, i always give her my clothes, bags and shoes that i am not using anymore.

hi there jure! i am kind of lazy to tally the clothes that I send to the laundry and this post of yours makes me think twice and be diligent in tallying the clothes. there was a time that a tshirt of mine got lost and they returned it to me but I guess i did not learn that lesson

You're lucky that they were honest enough to give you back the shirt. it's always best to be cautious because not all people choose to be honest.

You are absolutely right. It is better that we take precaution.
I normally video the clothes that I put in one by one so that
easy to counter check once I collected it back. I just take
advantage of the technology of cell phones with video facility
There is one incident where I sent 14 pieces of clothes, only came back 12.
Since those were old clothes, I did not pursue further. However, I make sure I double check every time I send my laundry there. Sometimes they did not took it but accidentally packed into other people's pack.

Oh, you actually have a stricter way of monitoring. You could never go wrong with that. Sometimes, I miscount and tally lesser number than the clothes I get back. But, of course, all those are ours, I just probably miscounted it.

I rarely send my clothes over the laundry shop. But if I do, of course I need to make sure that they are giving back the right clothes. My brother in law actually owns it and one wrong move that his staff makes, well, they are surely a step away from losing a job. I mean, they need to be always sure of the things that they do. If they could not provide me a good service, how much more to others?

Good for you, that you have a relative owning such business. You are at an advantage, and yes, they should be consistent with their service especially that this type of business is becoming rampant and the competition is getting tough.

hi jurea,
I make sure that I check all my dress before sending it to the laundry shop and I even count it so if ever I lost one of them I will know it.
So far they return my clothes clean and complete.
happy mylotting

That's right. We should have it all accounted for.
What will you do if you find stain on your clothes, would you ask for reimbursement?
I've experienced it before, but since that blouse was not very new, I just let it be.

I don't bring my cloths to laundry shop but only heavy bed sheets and heavy bath towels. I do agree with what you do too co's if you won't count your clothes you will never know if it all come back to you.

So far so good with my laundry service provider. We have them for quite sometime and they are reliable. What we usually do is to count our clothes before they arrive we usually have our own list and classify them before we call for pickup then when they arrive we count it in front of them.
When they deliver the clothes we also count in from of them and check them with our list. So far for the past days we have seen their reliability and honesty when dealing with them. So I pretty much understand them.

hi jureathome.
i would say that the laundry shop where we bring our clothes for washing and pressing has very honest people. i have no fear of losing some of our clothes as the laundry shop has a strict policy of not missing clothes brought in by different customers. back then when i was starting to avail of the services of this laundry shop, i would do the same as you did. i would have a list of clothes i brought for washing and i would check the clothes again after i get it from the laundry shop. i'm glad to say that i have no bad experience of losing any clothes so far.
cheers and happy mylotting!!!

I only send jackets and coats for dry cleaning. The maximum I send at any one time is 3 pieces only. That way easy for me to monitor. It cost RM10 per dry cleaning at my regular place. I heard there are incidents of mismatched clothes too. A friend of mine prefer to do laundry at the laundry washing machine where he can monitor it.

hello friends, we cant believe anyone blindly so what i think is better to note down in a book or paper before submitting the clothes to a laundry shop or another alternative is not to give bulk clothes at a time, its better to give few clothes after we receive them then send the next bundle. One of our friend suggested to take a video that's a great idea using the technology of the modern era, i really appreciate the thought our friend got.I wish my laundry shop people to be honest.have a nice time friends.

I did the same thing as your I always tally before I hand it to them but always end up missing 1 piece its either short or a shirt and they didn't pay for it. I went to different Laundry shop and still same. So what I do now is we hired someone to do laundry for us once a week at home.
