hi guys I work for a multinational company. and most of times my work hours are not fixed. I normally work 10-11 hours each day. and 2 hours of travel time. in such nasty condition I have my far off uncle come home for vacation. its so difficult to entertain and cater to his needs, special food for him, his medicines etc. I am so fed up that feel like asking him to leave. why can't a person have basic sense to understand that I'm not able to manage work and take care of him at same time. my mother who stays in different city requested me not to be rude to him and take care of him till he is here. and the worst part is my girl friend cannot come home since he is here. I cannot enjoy me beer after work. obviously because he is old fashioned and narrow minded. I'm going mad

Hello Daman! I can perfectly understand you and the situation. It can be very annoying but I hope he will not stay there for good. Is he there only for a short visit? Then I suggest you have a little patience because it seems like your uncle needs some help. Who else can do that but the family? He is still your uncle even if he is an additional problem to you but look at it the other way. Try to put yourself in his shoes and see how you would like to be treated by a niece or nephew in the future. I know you can extend your patience a little bit more until he is ready to go back home where he belongs.

hey, I sure all of us must have been in such situation. Unwanted guests are really a big mess. they jusy take over your regular life. and specially in India guests are supposed to be treated with great respect. gone are those days when we all had one big joint family with huge open house in country side. all of us are busy and it becomes so dofficult for us to manage guests. I suggest that you make an excuse that your company is sending you out for business trp , so your unwanteduncle may leave
