Tasty food vs healthy food

It is known that the most delicious food is usually the type of food you need to avoid. Most often it contains large amounts of sugar, salt, fats and some weird ingredients that you need to be a scientist in order to understand them. Yet people keep eating them. Healthy food on the other hand can be tasty as well, but most people don't know how to properly cook a healthy meal. So they end up getting microwave ready meals from the supermarkets or fast food. Can you resist junk food like candies, burgers, deep-fried types of food and sodas? It is probably ok to eat them once in a while, like once every 2 weeks, however it is healthy food where we must rely on our daily diet.
Also amazing and worth noticing are fruits. As it is amazing how tasty they are without adding anything to them. For example an apple or a banana has a complete taste. It doesn't miss any sugars or general taste. Yet most people would prefer a banana flavoured chocolate.. weird isn't it? You have the true stuff right in front of you, however, the processed flavours are prefered by most people..

Creativity is a nice point for healthy food, thanks for pointing that out. With healthy food and even cooking ourselves we can really experiment a lot until we find a recipe or even a personally modified recipe that fits out taste. The combinations are practically endless, so, as long as we are not bored, we will eventually find something that we like!

I am also particular with healthy food!:) At home, we see to it that we have vegetables and fruit intakes daily! But with these tasty food, my parents allow a bit of them once a week. Like Sodas, occasionally and just Sunday and the rest of the week no!
If you can't avoid it, just at least give extra effort to lessen.. It's for our own good anyway! Good luck and happy healthy living =)

Nicely said. It is also a fact that the western countries suffer more from the junk food. Eastern and mediterranean countries have a healthier cuisine anyway, so we should really take advantage of that. For example last week I was in scotland, and unfortunately there are so many overweight people there. I also read that the have a very high heart disease percentage. On the other hand, countries like japan, with their diet based on sea food and vegetables have very low heart disease ratings and very rarely overweight people!

Honestly I always go for tasty foods. But that doesn't mean that tasty foods are always junk. There foods with less calories, fat and all but yet tasty. Even banana is a perfect example for it. While I am eating I just want to supress my hunger. Therefore i prefer some tasy foods and thank God if it is healthy too. :)

I just had some salad, with cheese and bread. Also a few large olives. I love them. I guess healthy food can really be tasty as well after all. Maybe most people are avoiding it because they are either bored or haven't got the time to prepare a healthy meal. So they result in eating some crappy fast food instead. At least until they are up against a disease or something similar most of the times..:(

Yeah, and it is also kinda disgusting if you ever watch the processing of all the junk food we eat in the huge fast food chains all over the world. The meat is of the worst possible quality, mixed with all kinds of low-nutritious ingredients. I stopped eating at fast foods about 3 years ago. Now that I am used to this, whenever I eat again and makes me feel kinda sick.

There are tasty and healthy food nowadays prepared by some restaurants. They taste the same but it isn't affordable to everybody.
We don't have microwave and we cook meals the long process way. I mean, no shortcuts. We don't freeze our meals too. We usually buy from the market daily for we just live beside the market. So I can say that it is tasty and healthy fresh too.

I see. Avoiding frozen goods is also something very good to do. Especially nowadays that there are supermarkets all over the towns, we can just shop the ingredients we need to use that day, and then for tomorrow's meal we can go to the supermarket again the next day. It's so much easier now in comparison to the older years, yet in the past people had healthier meals.

LOL. sorry I love eating. Sometimes I will choose the food i like over healthy one. Guilty as charged. But it is the hunger that needs to be satisfied at the moment. But I eat all kinds of food, whether vegetables to dried fish. No problem with me as long as they are cooked. Yes, some of us really satisfy ourselves by eating the food we want to eat. You crave for it then you have then you eat it.

Not a rare occasion I assure you. Most people actually pleasure their crave for food with a fast food quick option. Now that you mention fish as well, it came to me that it is my favourite type of meat. So tasty, and at the same time as healthy as it gets. I believe everyone should enrich his diet with some fish meal.. at least once per week.

If I dont have candy its like taking candy from a baby must have sweet lol. I love banana and apples and all sort of fruits . My mother have a yard full of orange trees mangoes, star apple , jack fruit , pine and coconut .
I eat those just as they are but I still love my sugar and all other kinda food and meat . I eat almost everything , and I would not give up any .
I dont like tin food , but I love junk like burger its also pack with protein .
I would not give up on any food I love unless doctor force me to .
My grandfather say he will never stop eating meat even if doctor tell him to lol , some thing you just cant live without !! it wouldn't be living ! Imagine some people dont even eat ice cream or normal fatty milk
But good point though we should not eat pure junk food as our daily diet , I dont . I used to eat burger every day at school but now only once a week I eat burger or other junk .

That is a true observation because of media we are encourage more to take the unhealthy foods but are tasty. There are actually healthy foods that are tasty but they are not highly promoted. If we just follow the trend and not conscious of what we are eating many people get diseases like cancers, heart problems and diabetes.

Yes I can I do not like junk food. Also I don't agree with what you state that the most tasty food is not healthy food. What is true is that junkfood is changing your "appetite" same with candies etc. There are adds in it what makes you want more. It takes time to restart your body/taste into what is normal and then you will see after some time it's not asking for junk food anymore, your taste is improving and you like healthy food (which is way more tasteful) more as the junkfood or what factories cook you for dinner. Good, tasty food is how it looks, smells, taste. You have to eat it with love, care, take time for it.

I'm with you on that one. I generally avoid burgers and personally i hate chocolate. However I can't help but notice how addicted to chocolate everyone around me is. I believe all you said about the appetite chaching things. Fast food is a huge industry and economy and they would really want to make the most out of it. No matter if it is morally wrong of course.

Yes, you are absolutely right. I prefer to eat raw foods then of those foods which have been processed. Veggies can also do. Nothing is better than a fruits and veggies in terms of healthy foods. People will just cherish fruits and veggies until such time that they suffer illness. That's the irony of human's attitude in terms of health.

Yes. And as a saying goes, preventing a problem or disease is better than curing/healing it. Veggies are always good. Especially if they are not boiled for a long time, as a lot of heir useful substances tend to vanish if they get boiled or processed too much. But even that way, they are still tones better than junky fast food.

preferring a sandwich instead of a burger! a fruit salad instead of candies! a real fruit juice or a milk shake instead of flavored drinks! WILL make your food tasty and healthy as well! so the kind of processing matters.Over processing may cause some of the essential nutrients in that food item to vanish! There is no necessity to avoid any food item.Only Over intake of items like butter cheese oil and fatty foods may cause digestion problems. So :) eat well :). Substitute junk with tasty, healthy food :)

Wellsaid ksundari92. Last night i was feeling hungry and was about to get a burger. Instead I went home, boiled 2 eggs and made a cheese sandwich with eggs. It was much better than any burger in my opinion. Next step is substituding sweets such as cakes and candies with fruitsalads. As for the drinks, I hate sodas anyway so drinking natural juices is something that i already do. :)
