All restaurants in my city are shut today

Due to the death of a political leader leader all shops and restaurants have been shut today. They are expected to be closed tomorrow. Due to which most bachelors who dont cook at home and go out to restaurants to eat are starving tonight. This includes one of my friends who does not have even the basic groceries at home because he has not cooked for many months now. Has to either go without food unless some neighbour offers to help him. He is too far away from my residence for me to cook and send something over.

Hi mayka! It is really a problem for bachelors and for others who want to dine out but are unable to do so. They will have to make do with the stored stuff in their houses as they do not have choice. It is a temporary problem and will be resolved within a day or two.

If they do not stock anything in their houses, they should be ready for this kind of situations.

Most bachelors dont have stored stuff in the house. I am talking about the ones who dont cook and always eat out. I was discussing this with some of my colleagues who stay as paying guests or who live in bachelor pads and eat out only. They say they never keep any stuff in the house as they are out most of the day and always eat out so no need of keeping anything at home!!!!

I bet that is a challenge for the bachelors. It's always a good idea to try and keep a little something at home to throw together just in case. How long do you think everything will be closed? Is there a particular time frame that this is done for?

Luckily my city was closed for just two days. So people did not exactly die of starvation. They just had to manage on milk and biscuits or the lucky ones managed to get bread. Now everything is back to normal.

If all the restaurants are closed and your 'baby' bachelor friend doesn't even know how to cook or make a sandwich for himself, then he should go hungry for a day until he learn to grow up like a man. There is nothing much you can for him since you are living so far away and can not send him your homecook meal. Don't worry about that, it is not your fault at all, he need to learn how to cook in his life without depend solely on the restaurants and eatery outlets, period!

Even if my baby bachelor friend did know cooking he would not have been able to cook anything for himself last night because he did not have any groceries in the kitchen as he has not cooked anything for many months now and there was no bread available in the market as all the shops had shut down! Most men in India dont understand the need of learning to cook and take the shorter way out by eating in restaurants.

ohh yes it will be difficult for the bachelors and those who eat outside. But as they know that all shops are going to get closed some people would have made the necessary requirements .As it was announced in the afternoon. But few people would have not prepared for this. So they might go on empty stomach this night, they can go for some alternative tomorrow.

The announcement was made in the afternoon but many did not expect the shops to be shut. And besides the shops shut down immediately after the announcements were made so many did not even have the time to react.

Hi mayka. Sorry to hear that. I hope you and your family are okay together with the Indian people. It's a good reminder that you have shared. I normally have extra food with me because the weather here is unpredictable. When we have typhoons, it's very hard to go out and buy some groceries. We are lucky that we have some food stalls nearby. I hope your country will be back to normal. Take care.

Hi, Yes me and my family are fine. Luckily there was no violence. We do not often have these kind of situations so perishables are not stocked in quantity. I do not have much trouble about non perishables because I keep that in stock always.

I saw the procession in tv this noon, well i honor public opinion, here too hotels get closed on such occasions; none thinks about the problem of the bacelors!!! In 1974 i had faced some thing similar, had to sleep empty stomach, since then i always kept biscuit packets, pao in home

I think that it is wiser to have some food in the pantry, for in any time you need to make a meal for youself or others you have it. To have a good storage in food not shortage. Why spending more in the restaurant everytime, that doesn't mean that you eat well.

That's sounds really crazy to me. It has never happened to me before.
