Is the earth getting heavier? Considering all the structures and all the people in it now, compared to earth 500 years ago?

Since all the structures, people, animals and plant life which exist and have existed are all made from the elements which are part of the earth and always have been, there is no net gain simply because the population has increased or more buildings have been built. In fact, because the earth is bombarded daily by meteorites, it is getting very slightly heavier.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well of course yes, we are so much busy with our private lives that we hardly get time to think about our mother earth. Look at her! She is being pressurized and being tortured time and again but she has never complained. She has controlled all her emotions and has given each individual a place to live. i think now its time that we do something for her. I know it is too diminutive in front of her sacrifice and dedication. What say?

That is my pleasure and i hope we all would be aware of our responsibilities as a responsible citizen so that we understand our duties and protect our mother earth and nature from all possible hazards.
