I Don't know What to Do

Philippines
November 17, 2012 10:38pm CST
I'm here now staring blankly on my computer. I know I want to do something but I can't figure what it is. Earlier I thought I got my day all planned out but now all of the sudden I don't know what to do. It seems that I lost all the inspiration to do something. I don't even know where this topic will lead me. Maybe I suddenly became lazy, I don't know. I guess my all of the sudden argument with my wife is also the cause. I'm lost right now. I guess the best thing to do now is to sleep and maybe when I wake up I can find my way back and do something

I'm also in front of the computer right now, but do not really know what to do. I have not been on mylot for ages and I thought I'd take a look at it. Your discussion is the first one that caught my eye. Anyway, it is a Sunday afterall. The feeling of laziness will definitely be there. I have a couple of calls to make, but my body is resisting. I have lots of paperwork to complete, but my fingers are protesting. I think I will take a nap in the afternoon. Maybe you should too. After that, maybe both of us would feel better! Have a great weekend!

Same here hexeduser22, there is time when I'm here but I'm unable to make a response. I browse discussion after discussion, I have something in mind to respond to the discussion but it is hard to compose it into a readable sentence. It happen when I'm physically tired after doing a lot of activity or when I have something else in my mind. I'm doing a craft order (2 dozens of crochet brooches), I've completed 19 of the brooches and need 5 more to finish, my hands so tired so I decided to come to mylot but it seems that my mind still worrying the 5 more brooches that I need to finish, I don't know what to post. So I think your suggestion to take rest and get some sleep to refresh the mind is good.

The feeling was like flipping pages of a book where we can't really figure out what it says and what it's all about. Nothing comes in and nothing comes out but I'm fine now. Hope you are too Good luck with your brooches Sometimes life gets a head of us and we just really need to settle down and relax for a while.

I'm glad that you are fine now, sleep can help us to refresh our mind and our body. I've completed the brooches and now just adding some additional application like leaf on the brooches. I'm so excited Sometimes when we feel like we cannot do or think of anything, it is actually a sign from our body to get rest and get some relaxation.

There are times when I am at that situation as yours I want to make more post and discussions here but my mind was so blank that I can't hardly think of something new or my mind was so busy thinking of some other things regarding what was our current situation. There are those days that I get up early and open my laptop just to have some discussions to make but when I am at my laptop I suddenly had no ideas what to type... and it's kind of frustrating for me because I want to have a goal just like other user here that can able to post 100 times just to earn a dollar per day. Up until now I can't reach that 100 post goal. Arrrgg I really hate my laziness at times... :(

I had that goal once before, 100 post a day to be able to make $1 a day. I was not able to achieve it. It gave me a lot of stress instead. I started to think of fun ways to interact in here and that gave me a chance to actually earn more minus the stress. I would suggest for you to try that way because it will definitely help you earn more in here

i hope it gets sorted out soon. who started it anyway? when i'm getting frustrated with my work, i'm here to let my subconscious simmer. then i let time get away from me so i have to log out so i can finish it. and as usual, i wasn't even participating so i wasn't earning while taking my mental break here.

It's already settled Don't think too much of earning because it's just a bonus that we get here. I would dedicate my time here in finding friends discussion to have fun and interact with

I hope you are feeling much better right now. Things like this do happens once in awhile. However, it is good for us to plan our daily task so that we can achieve more from our productive time. Maybe, we should have a 'to do list' for the following day as a guidelines for us to accomplish. with the list we at least can achieve 80% of it if there are other things pop up that is more urgent.

I'm quite lazy writing a to do list The guy above you influenced me much on it but nevertheless it's a good idea so if ever we go blank when we see the to do list we know we need to do something about it

Hello hexeduser, you don't have to think of doing anything, don't force yourself. remember it takes time relax and able to think of a topic of your choice. however, it's actually not good if you think hard much on what topic that needs to be taught. there's always teh problem of mental block so always find time to relax and breathe. probably do to that cause, it gave you a huge distraction.

It's not just about thinking of a topic here in mylot, it's about not knowing what I'm gonna do for the day because I suddenly lost the motivation or the inspiration to do anything. I'm okay now though. Like what you said I did find time to relax and take a breather from everything and now I'm able to post again

i am always like that too. forget things that needs to be done. and end up cramming for the deadlines. because i tend to forget things, i made it a habit to list things that needs to be done, so i carry a small notebook with me everywhere i go. things just pops up in my mind, write it down right away, or i'll forget it.

I wish I could discipline myself to do that as well. I tend to carry notebooks or journals but I don't really write in it often. I guess I should start doing it so that good ideas will never be wasted

It's not healthy not getting enough sleep. I guess we can call laziness as well but then there are times we cannot really control it and we just find ourselves not able to do anything, a sudden lost of inspiration.

You know what? Sometimes I get like that too. It could be from my mood just dwindling down instantly or maybe just a bad day for me in general. Either way, I usually try to work out (sometimes) or I listen to soft, relaxing music and lay down and eventually drift off to sleep. Once I wake up, I feel so much better and I feel refreshed; as if I could take on the world. Another thing I would suggest is maybe settling things with your wife ASAP! If I go to bed with something heavy on my chest and it concerns a disagreement between my boyfriend and I, I CANNOT sleep whatsoever. I tend to lose focus on what my plans were or what I SHOULD have been doing at the moment. Settling issues between you and your spouse can be the best thing. Then maybe you can focus a little more. After you try that, then use the rest of your time to relax and as I think of it, "let your mind go". Don't think about work, or anything stressful. Just sit back, and relax. Take some you time. Maybe do some crossword puzzles or my personal favorite, Sudoku. I find those VERY relaxing and they give you a little something to do in the meantime. Or like someone else mentioned, you can simply stay on here and enjoy MyLot. :) Best Wishes! Hope everything works out for you.

My wife and I are okay now. I sometimes listen to music as well but I did not do that earlier. I made a way to settle everything with my wife first and then let the mood flow back in again. I tried playing an online game earlier as well. I'm slowly posting in here again today. I need to take your advice in letting my mind go and just relax because tomorrow will be a big day for me. I need to be mentally prepared for it as well Thank You! Have a great day!

I know what you mean. There are just days like that that you feel so blank. Plus you mentioned that you had an argument with your mind, making you feel so blank even more. You had one idea right, you could sleep things over hoping that when you wake up, you'd feel less blank and hoping sleep recharged you somehow. I do that myself when everything fails, like listening to music, watching tv or movies, if all those fails, I sleep. Hope you feel all good when you wake up. Cheers!

I do feel good now. Sleep has helped me and I was also able to settle everything with my wife on the same day At times I listen to music or just watch movies too. It really helps to put your mind away from things and or stress.

I guess we really ought to relax and divert our attention to some worthwhile entertainment from time to time. I played an online game and then after a while I found myself again

Maybe you need to rest a little more. Sometime we are mentally blocked because we have not rested well the night before. something must kept us toss and turn on bed or the bed is just nor really comfortable. Most of the time brain does not work fast during wake up time. Still my processor is slow I would often say, I can not processed yet. A warm bath, a walk and coffee would surely wake your sense. go and run.

A warm bath? Hmmm that seems nice to do. If ever I get the feeling again I would certainly do that. Instead of sleeping I would just take a shower or a bath first to wake my nerves and feel good
