I have windows 7 and 8 dual boot on my ASUS laptop and a wired ethernet connection. I had windows 8 installed over a week and everything was fine( no internet issues )..untill last 3 days i have this issue on my windows 8 like no pages load, i am able to log-in into the ISP home page which also loads after like 20 to 30 secs. After logging in even google.com takes me about 30 secs to load and other sites are hopeless. So i did a format of windows 8 reinstalled it but the problem still remains...any help guys?

I thinka virus is affecting this problem. You should scan your PC with a good antivirus software..

Resolved!!! It was nothing about windows 8, it just works fine. the problem was with my ISP. He got over and solved it by replacing the router.

You may be better off going back to windows 7 for now, because windows 8 is so new it's more than likely going to have bugs and issues that wouldn't be found until going live. I know it's not the best solution but it's about the only option if you want a speedy connection. Either that or do a computer scan using your antivirus that should find faults and fix them. Hope this helps.

There are countless reasons for internet access to slow down. far too many to possibly list here. I am currently using Windows 8 and have done for several months now, so the operating system is not the issue.
If you are using a dual boot then the first question should be whether or not the internet is slow on both operating systems or just when logged into Windows 8. If the problem relates to both then you should check the integrity of the Ethernet port, cable and router which may have developed a problem coinciding with the time that you installed Windows 8. If the issue is with Windows 8 then I would suggest checking the website for your motherboard to try to acquire chipset drivers for the new operating system.

It was probably just your internet provider. Your computer can never change your internet speeds unless you set a limit and i don't even know how to do that. The only way your internet will get slower on your computer would be because of your computer loading the information that is given to it by the internet.
