Internet Explorer 10 Release 64 bit not installing on my windows 7 64bit??

i downloaded ie10 64bit release on my win7 64bit pc but it was not installed.?
it says o/s is not supported.
what would be the problem?
with my o/s or with the ie10?

IE 10 is now available for Windows 7 SP1 32/64-bit.You need to install Service Pack for that.

Internet Explorer 10 was released around 8 or 9 months ago and designed to operate with Windows 8. I believe that have recently released a preview version for use with Windows 7, but the copy that you have is certain to be the Windows 8 version.
I would not recommend downloading the newly released one because it is still at a testing stage and may not prove to be as stable as Internet Explorer 9.
