I am watching the trading fires between Israel and Palestine on the news. Granted that this issue has been around for decades, it's a wonder why it hasn't been resolved. On that note, I would have thought that the UN would likely to stepping and make some sort of arrangements between these nations. However, questions are being fired to the British and the Americans. I don't know the history behind the conflict but if UN is really committed, why can't it stop issues like these or even from a bridge that will lead to a solution? It's bad enough that Syria is a mess and Iran might be acting out. Sorry if I might miss some important bits into the issue.

The more important question may be why so much of our energy is focused on any external conflict. If these were people instead of nations you would avoid them at all costs, am I right? There will always be conflict somewhere but how much of it you are involved in is totally within your control.
Switzerland is wealthy for a reason - it devotes 0% of its effort on other nations problems and cashes in as a result.
